Chapter 219 Are You Asleep?

• The following morning, just as the first light began to seep through the curtains, Toefl emerged from his slumber. He followed his morning routine diligently: brushing his teeth, washing his face, getting dressed, and spritzing a hint of Old Spice cologne. He grabbed his car keys and headed to the florist, where he collected the bouquet of red roses he had ordered the night before. Then, he set course for Reign Healer Clinic, eager to pick Meredith up.
• Today marked the beginning of their romantic journey together. Toefl was determined to make every moment count and make Meredith fall for him. With plans laid out meticulously, all that was left was for Meredith to wake up. They would have breakfast together before going to the airport to meet Nina.
• Pulling up in front of the clinic, Toefl whistled a tune, but the silence and closed doors that greeted him felt unsettling. Glancing at his watch, it was already seven o'clock. Surely Meredith isn't still asleep? He called her, only to be met with silence as the call disconnected automatically.
