Chapter 2 Second Chance

• The spine-chilling wind could be felt. The little sniffle sound could be heard. Someone was lying on the bed lifelessly while the elderly lady was crying silently. Someone was consoling her continuously.
• The one who was lying on the bed opened her eyes, looking around, getting familiar with the atmosphere.
• The white light of the sun was passing through the window which was covered with white, sky-blue colour curtains. The female came to her consciousness, frozen in her place.
• “Ain't I got shot by Roxie. Where am I? Why does this room feel so familiar?” Izara was lost in her thoughts, that's when her thoughts were cut off by someone. Someone called her in her sweet voice.
• “lza... You woke up...” As soon as She heard her twin sister's voice, tears streamed into her eyes. She blinked multiple times to get composed of herself.
• “Did I come back to the past? What is this... I didn't even pray for this... I deserve to die... Because of me... All got hurt...” She didn't even respond to her sister's words. She was only indulged in her thoughts.
• “It feels like a novel where the protagonist goes back to the past to change her fate. Can I also change the fate of mine and my loved ones...” She again caught up with her thoughts totally out of the world.
• “Mom... Why isn't she talking?” Estelle was worried that worry would return all over her face.
• “Baby... She is having a high fever... Let her rest... It's god's grace that she woke up from her Coma” Angel Schmitz wiped her tears and caressed her dear daughter's hair who woke up from a coma. Izara was collecting her memories.
• “So... I came back to the period when I got a high fever. And fortunately made it alive after being in a coma for 2 days. At that time we were in our last year of college” Izara finally concluded her situation.
• Estelle was looking at her sister with tears in her eyes. Izara smiled and gestured for her. Estelle threw herself on lzara and started to cry out.
• “You scared the shít out of me” Estelle was crying like a baby while Izara was patting her as if she was her parent. Apparently yes... After they were close enough.
• In some cases, Twins sisters, or brothers would decide to choose different paths after coming to certain ages. But Estelle and lzara weren't like that.
• They wanted to be together. Their mentality was like that. Their parents wanted to separate them but when they realised they can't be happy without each other, they literally give up the idea of separating them.
• “There... There.. l am fine. Don't cry...” Izara was comforting her. After seeing her babies, Mrs Schmitz was happy.
• “This time... I don't want any disaster to happen to my family... I shouldn't be careless... This is my second chance to protect my loved ones. I won't waste it...” She clenched her fist against Estelle's back with those thoughts eating her mind up. It was unnoticed by Mrs Schmitz.
• Soon the door was opened, revealing one middle-aged man and two young men who were in suits.
• When she saw them, her eyes widened. She couldn't think straight. She hugged her sister protectively as if someone would do something to her. What a good sister she was.
• Her eyes became lifeless when something struck in her mind. Her one hand unknowingly went to her belly. Yeah... She was missing her deceased 6-month-old unborn baby. Her eyes once again became lifeless.
• “Iza... My baby... You woke up” Sven Schmitz rushed to his daughter and hugged both of them, squeezing them in between his arms.
• “Finally... My princess... You woke up... Or I would have been roasted by a pair of daughters and mother” He wiped his fake tears. He acted dramatically. He could feel the tension in Izara. To make her relaxed, he did something childish.
• “Dad...” Estelle pouted as he received a hard smack on his head.
• “Yay... You old man... Do you want to die in my hands huh?” Mrs Schmitz shouted as Izara chuckled hard, catching two males' attention.
• “Finally... You smiled” Mr Schmitz said getting up from there.
• Izara realised what happened just now. She smiled palely. Her dry smile caught someone's attention already.
• “They knew me well...” Izara thoughts.
• Soon Mrs Schmitz noticed the young men who were standing silently and watching the family drama
• “Dev... Chris...” She called them amusedly. lzara downed her gaze, avoiding a certain person.
• Yes, aunt...
• Yes, aunt...
• They both answered at the same time. Devon Trosnitz and Chris Klein are fiances of both twin sisters as well as the well-known business tycoons in the city and also a young bachelors for now.
• “When they came to know about Izara's condition, they insisted, so I took them with me. They even cancelled their important meeting” Mr Schmitz said as they nodded in agreement.
• “Thank god... Izara woke up... I am really worried. Even after the treatments and medication, she didn't wake up. It held me back for two days” He said, sighing deeply.
• “Dad... I am fine... Don't worry...” She said, assuring him with her signature warm smile.
• Two males approached her.
• How are you, lza...
• How are you feeling now? lza...
• They asked her as she kept silent for a while.
• “Yeah... I am totally fine” She smiled widely, making others get suspicious of her nature. They could feel her smile was fake. She wasn't like this before. Did the Fever change her nature?
• “I can't face them... what should I do? I couldn't protect our child. Will you blame me for that... After all... We don't love each present there” She smiled bitterly once again getting someone's attention...
• She turned to her dad and asked something that would shock everyone.
• “Dad... Can I cancel the engagement?” Her question made them speechless. Everyone was still processing. That's when someone broke the silence.
• “Sister... How... How can you just cancel the engagement as you please...” She asked while peeking inside. She walked in with tiny steps. Her words were as if lzara was doing something bad.
• As soon as lzara got sight of Judi, she felt disgusted. She thought Judi was a cute kid who they spoiled so much. But they didn't think she would be a venomous snake who would bite anyone.
• “What happened, Iza...” Mr Schmitz was Worried. He knew something was off. But he didn't think that she wanted to break off the engagement.
• “Its... I just don't want to get married soon” She came up with a random excuse.
