Chapter 110 Losing Her Sleep
- Huxley prepared a cloth for Lana. That evening, after they both had dinner together, Lana went to sleep in Zora's room, hoping to rest and heal. She took her medicine to help with the pain, expecting it would also help her fall asleep at least this one day. As she took her medicine, She quickly fell asleep.
- But the night did not go as planned. After a few hours of sleep, Lana woke up with a start, gasping loudly in the darkness. Her heart raced as she struggled to catch her breath. The unfamiliar yet so familiar face surroundings of Zora's room added to her discomfort. She had hoped the medicine would knock her out for the night, but instead, she felt restless and uneasy.
- Deciding she needed some water to calm herself, Lana slipped out of bed and made her way to the kitchen. The house was silent, save for the soft creaks and groans typical of an old mansion settling in the night. She filled a glass with cold water from the fridge and took a few sips, hoping it would soothe her nerves.
