Chapter 37 Trust

• POV: Eve
• Eve awoke to the soft light of dawn filtering through the curtains of their cozy cottage. She turned to see Danny still asleep beside her, his face relaxed and peaceful. The events of the previous night—rushing to the community center to help with an emergency—had taken a toll, but they had faced it together, as they always did.
• She quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake him, and made her way to the kitchen. As she prepared breakfast, she reflected on the growing trust between them. Danny had been through so much, and she had witnessed his incredible transformation. Yet, there was still a part of her that struggled with fully trusting his intentions and efforts.
