- As Sly handled his affairs, Sandra busied herself with preparing to leave Beredes for good. She methodically packed her clothes, fitting everything into her newly acquired travel suitcases. To her surprise, Thodoris walked in, catching her off guard. She quickly glanced around and shut the door behind him.
- “Did anyone see you coming?” she asked, feeling exasperated.
