Chapter 12

• "Hey, do you have the documents and the contract with you?" Arthur asks me worriedly as we sit in the car on our way to the meeting. I nod as I buckle my seatbelt. "Bella," Arthur says more calmly now. I turn towards him, looking expectantly. He smiles slightly and raises his hand to gently caress my cheek. "Margaret will be at the meeting, just forget my words from this morning. Okay?" he asks affectionately. I nod and smile at him because I believe him.
• "I hope with this new partnership we can work very well together," Arthur says happily as he shakes hands with Marcos with a smile.
• "It will be, it's a pleasure doing business with you, my friend," Marcos replies, shaking his hand. "If you'll excuse me, I have another meeting," he bids farewell politely and leaves the room.
