• Marcel had come to tell me in the study that Ava was here to tell me. I was surprised and not surprised. I knew she was going to come, her curiosity had led her right into my trap but I also thought about her pride and arrogance.
• “Hey Ava. I’m so glad you came,” I smiled at her. She looks thinner and not well taken care of. The fall from grace made an epic transformation. I was glad. I never thought I would see Ava at her lowest.
