Chapter 20

• CONRI’S POV
• The boys tortured Ava and her scream for help filled the words. No one could hear her. She whimpered and yelped in pain. Her once vigour and harsh voice was reduced to a whimper. I stood at the far end of another tree and watched closely. After shouting to no avail, she started to beg for mercy. The boys ignored her and continued to whip her with rage and revenge evident in their eyes.
• I let them have their portion of revenge. I was not satisfied with just torturing her but I wanted her to feel pain before my revenge was exerted.
