• “How could you bring him here, Carol??” Fiona hissed as soon as we were inside her room. I knew she was going to be upset, but I hadn’t expected her to burst into tears when we were alone. She was pacing back and forth in her room, her hair disheveled because of how many times she’d run her fingers through it.
