Chapter 5 I Only Want Your Heart

• Before Xu Xiaoyang could explain himself, Li Hang had already placed the food onto the table. “Come on, let us all eat together.”
• Xu Xiaoyang and Liu Yufen exchanged glances of concern.
• Li Hang’s appearance was like an oasis in their desert of worries. He had managed to solve the problems that had plagued them for many years.

• “Thank you.” Xu Muqing announced, as she laid on the bed in the pitch-black room. There was not a trace of fear in her mind, despite knowing that there was a male stranger sleeping in her room.
• In fact, she was sincere in expressing her gratitude towards him. She hadn’t changed a bit. She was still the same old Xu Muqing, who was kind-hearted and genuine, since the day that they had first met.
• Since young, she had always been mindful of the others, always placing others’ interests before her own.
• “Still, I want to apologize to you. Because, I’m already in love with someone else.”
• “Who is he?” From the other end of the ill-illuminated room, Li Hang’s voice echoed, deep and resonant.
• Xu Muqing’s rosy lips had pursed slightly.
• All these years, she had been waiting for that little boy’s return.

• With that, Li Hang cupped his head, snuggling up in the corner.
• In the darkness, he had quietly begun to open the prized chocolate tin, shoving a piece of chocolate into his mouth.
• As the velvety sweetness swirled around in his mouth, the corners of his lips had lifted into a sweet smile.

• The next morning, Xu Haoran entered the ward with a heavy heart as he asked, “Where is mom and dad?”
• Xu Muqing’s recovery was progressing well. She was no longer bedridden and was now capable of walking on her own.
• Xu Haoran stared at Xu Muqing as he whined in distress, “Sis, hear me out. Our company is not going to make it. To finance your surgery, we have already sold off dad’s car and now, all of us are relying on public transport to get around.”
• Xu Muqing subconsciously bit her lower lip when she heard that.
• Then, she turned to comfort her brother with determination in her eyes, “Don’t worry. We’ll get through this together. I will be discharged in another two days. After that, I will arrange a meeting with Tianyi Group’s CEO, Mr. Liu. The cooperation between our company and Tianyi Group has been almost set. As long as we have signed this contract successfully, our company would certainly be able to get back onto its feet!”
• The moment Xu Muqing had finished her sentence, the ringing of a phone call had sounded, from outside the ward. Before long, Xu Xiaoyang let out a furious roar, “This is too much! Is this damned Cui Haifeng trying to drive me into my grave?”
• Xu Muqing’s eyebrows furrowed immediately upon hearing the name.
• Cui Haifeng was the president of Taian Group, who was also Xu Xiaoyang’s nemesis.

• Xu Xiaoyang’s face was flushing with anger as he had continued to explain the situation to her.
• Xu Muqing was anxious as she urged, “No! This project is the last hope for our company. Get me out now! I must meet Mr. Liu immediately.”
• “There’s no need for that!” Suddenly, a man’s languid voice was heard. A young man entered the ward, fully clad in an exquisite, branded suit, topped with a slick undercut on his head.
• “Cui Tianci, what are you doing here?” As soon as Xu Haoran saw Cui Tianci, he aggressively leaped to stand!

• Cui Tianci handed the roses over to Xu Muqing as he spoke with a sweet voice.

• Cui Tianci shrugged and threw the bouquet onto the ground upon hearing that. “Since you don’t like it, then this is just trash. Anyways, I’m here to deliver some news. I’m going to sign the contract with Tianyi Group tomorrow morning! Ah, I didn’t expect that a project worth 200 million would fall into my hands so easily.”
• Xu Muqing bit her lower lip, agitated by what she had just heard.

• “Or else what? Huh? Are you going to hit me? Here. Hit me here. Come on, hit me!” Cui Tianci stretched his face out towards Xu Muqing as he mocked her menacingly.
• He lifted his chin and declared in arrogance, “Who would dare to hit me in the entire Ning Province?”
• The moment Cui Tianci’s voice dropped, a shadow swooped by his face!
