Chapter 7 Operate On The Spot
- He had seen me naked! Ahhhh!
- Refusing to remind herself of her recent past, Xu Muqing had to grapple strongly with her embarrassment. In spite of that, Li Hang had quickly lifted the forceps, using them to penetrate the wound.
- Movements swift and fluent, the forceps had dived into the wound like a beak, working in its own way to fish out the blood-soaked cotton ball.
- “The… The…”
- The crowd had been fully taken aback by the scene that had unfolded before them. Meanwhile, Director Yang’s face had been fully drained of its blood.
- In utter shock, he had stumbled momentarily, before falling back onto the beautiful nurse who had been standing behind him. After all, this was due to his negligence. Furthermore, Liu Delun, the man lying on the bed, was someone of great status.
- As he had prepared to flee the scene, a voice was heard calling out to him, “Hey Director Yang, where are you going? Are you forgetting something? Aren’t you supposed to kneel and kowtow to my brother-in-law?”
- Director Yang knew that he could not leave. Hence, he stood rooted to his position.
- At this moment, Li Hang suddenly said to the nurse beside him, “Pass me the forceps.”
- “You… You… What are you going to do? That’s the patient’s pancreas!” Director Yang was already moving forward to warn Li Hang. However, before he could stop him, Li Hang had already extracted a bean sized tumor from the edge of Liu Delun’s pancreas.
- Director Yang was instantly plunged into a state of disbelief and shock.
- He had done three thorough examinations for Liu Delun, yet he had failed to identify such a particular tumor.
- CLANG! A noise sounded as Li Hang threw the scalpel and forceps onto the tray that the nurse was holding.
- He glanced at the tumor and said plainly to Liu Delun, “Don’t worry, this is a benign tumor.”
- “In the future, eat increased amounts of nutritious food with antioxidants. Also, don’t stay up too late.”
- After which, Li Hang cleaned up the blood inside the wound unhurriedly.
- Then, he stitched up the wound swiftly without a single flaw, concluding the operation.
- The entire procedure had only taken him less than a minute from the beginning until the end.
- In fact, it ended even before Liu Delun could feel anything from the procedure.
- “You’ll feel pain in three minutes time. Take a painkiller if it is too much for you to handle.”
- Liu Delun looked at Li Hang, his eyes filled with gratitude. “Thank you. Thank you so much! I would have been left for dead if it weren’t for you!”
- As soon as Liu Delun finished his words, with a loud thud, Director Yang kneeled down before Li Hang, following with three kowtows.
- He was shaking violently in fear.
- Li Hang stared at him coldly as he ordered, “Get out of my sight. If you don’t possess the proper skills, then please, work harder on it.”
- “Yes! Yes, yes, yes!”
- Director Yang immediately fled the scene as he knew that if he were to stay on, it was a definite that Liu Delun would skin him alive!
- Liu Delun couldn’t be bothered to pursue Director Yang’s irresponsibility, considering the tumor had been removed completely. That was all that had mattered.
- He looked at Li Hang with gratitude before turning to face Xu Xiaoyang, who was in a wheelchair.
- “Mr. Xu, what is the relationship between you and this young man?”
- Xu Haoran interjected, as he replied, “He is my brother-in-law and the son-in-law to my parents!”
- Liu Delun burst into a peal of laughter as he exclaimed, “Mr. Xu, please get your legal officer to make a trip to our office tomorrow. I’ve decided to work with you on the 200 million project at the pier.”
- The Xu family were elated upon hearing the great news, which had offered Xu Xiaoyang a glimpse of hope. He had been feeling down in the dumps just minutes ago.
- Xu Haoran beamed in excitement, “Haha! Dad, do you believe me now? I knew that he could save us! Sis, you have found a treasure!”
- …
- Back in Xu Muqing’s ward, the whole family felt pumped, as they all released their sighs of relief.
- Li Hang had left the ward to prescribe a “special medicine” for Xu Muqing. It was actually the candy that he had fed to Xu Muqing daily.
- Xu Xiaoyang too, had left for his office.
- The VIP ward was left with only Xu Haoran, Liu Yufen and Xu Muqing. The mother watched on in silence as the room had begun to be filled by Xu Haoran’s incessant chatter. Even so, her eyes were brimming with happiness.
- After all, the one thing that had been bothering them had been finally lifted off of their heads.
- No matter how noisy and exaggerated Xu Haoran’s voice was, she didn’t find it annoying at all.
- Similarly, Xu Muqing was overjoyed. However, she couldn’t help but wonder, Why would an exceptional man like Li Hang be willing to marry into her family and stay with her?
- A knock from outside the door interrupted her thoughts.
- “That must be brother-in-law. Brother-in-law, why do you need to knock before entering?” Xu Haoran immediately went to answer the door.
- Before he could open the door, it was kicked open by force and slammed into him mercilessly.
- BAM!
- Liu Yufen and Xu Muqing immediately whipped their heads to stare in the direction of the noise.
- A man was standing by the door, exuding a murderous intent!
- He looked as strong as a bull and his veins were bulging from his rock-hard muscles.
- “Hahaha! Bet you didn’t expect me to come back again! “
- Cui Tianci’s despicable laughter filled the air as he swaggered in through the door in an arrogant manner.
- He scanned the room to look for Li Hang. “Huh? Did that dog escape because he knew that I would be back for him? But whatever, as long as you all are still here, then… Hehehe!”
- Cui Tianci stared at Xu Muqing intently as he had begun to speak in a lecherous manner.
- “Hey, I intended to call you to my office for some fun! But I can’t wait any longer!”
- As he spoke, Cui Tianci stormed into the VIP ward with his brawny bodyguard.
- He locked the door from inside, slowly inching closer towards Xu Muqing.
- “What do you think you are you doing?”
- Liu Yufen placed herself, arms spread out before Cui Tianci in a bid to protect her daughter.
- Cui Tianci sized up the old lady with his eyes as he teased her playfully, “Oh, I haven’t noticed you before but now that I have seen you up close, you are pretty charming indeed, in spite of your age!”
- With that said, Cui Tianci rubbed his palms before reaching out to assault Liu Yufen.
- “Asshole, don’t you dare!” With a roar, Xu Haoran leapt to his feet, pouncing towards Cui Tianci.
- The brawny man had intercepted, as he held him by the throat, lifting him off the ground.
- Xu Haoran was pinned to the wall as he struggled to break free in desperation.
- “Ugh… Coughs… Bro… Coughs… Brother… Ugh… In Law… Coughs…”
- Cui Tianci laughed maniacally as he taunted, “What good would it do for you to call that son of a bitch over? Do you think that he is capable of saving you?”
- Suddenly, there were knocks on the door.
- Cui Tianci’s eyes widened in shock. He turned before saying to the brawny man, “Go and block the door for me.”
- “I want him to hear these two women cry in despair! Make sure he hears it loud and clear!”
- With his grip firmly on Xu Haoran, the brawny man moved before pressing onto the back of the door, blocking it firmly.
- At this moment, Cui Tianci’s lips had curved up into its wicked smile. “Well… Well… Let’s see…”
- BAM! Before he could finish his words, an arm could be seen penetrating through the door.
- The hand clutched onto the throat of the brawny man as it had tightened its grip. The latter had no choice but to let go of Xu Haoran out of pain.
- Like an animal in a slaughterhouse, he had struggled with all his energy.
- Despite being as strong as a bull, he could not break free from the death grip.
- Then, with a little to no force, the hand twisted swiftly!
