• Cui Tianci spun two whole rounds before crashing down to the ground on his bottom.
• Feeling dumbstruck, he clutched the swollen half of his face in his palms and stared wide-eyed at the person in front of him.
• It was Li Hang!
• “You, how dare you hit me!? Who the hell are you? How dare you?!”
• On the sideline, Xu Muqing and the others were taken aback by Li Hang’s actions. They could only stare at him in a daze, their mouths agape.
• Cui Tianci leapt up from the ground, lashing out at him violently.
• Li Hang’s glare had turned threatening, at his cursing.
• Cui Tianci’s furious screams had halted almost immediately. Every strand of his hair had stood on end as he met Li Hang’s glare. A piercing chill had made its way down his spine.
• At that moment, he felt as if an extremely ferocious beast had been staring him down, instinctively causing him to back away towards the door! What a horrifying gaze!
• While cupping his half-swollen face, his eyes burned with anger as he swept his gaze across each individual in the room. “All of you better watch it! The entire Xu family is dead meat!”
• As he dropped his threat, he retreated from the room. While they were glad that he was finally gone, they couldn’t help but worry about what was to come next.
• After all, the Cui family had wielded great influence in Ning Province and there was no way that they would let this matter slide!
• Xu Muqing couldn’t believe what she had just saw. She would have never expected Li Hang, of all people, to hit Cui Tianci.
• Although she was puzzled, she couldn’t conceal the gratitude that she had held for him, “You… Why did you hit him?”
• “Because you are my wife.” His brief reply had touched her heart, giving her a sense of security.
• “I...” Xu Muqing pursed her alluring lips. At this point, she couldn’t find the right words to express her gratitude to this man, whom she had met not too long ago.
• However, her face scrunched up in worry, as reality had hit her. “But… You have just hit Cui Tianci! There is no way that he would let you go. I will go and apologize to him on your behalf.”
• What a kind and merciful young lady!
• As a matter of fact, she was the one who deserved an apology. Yet, she had volunteered to apologize to Cui Tianci on Li Hang’s behalf.
• Li Hang stretched his hand towards her, stopping her in her tracks. Flashing his sparkling white teeth, he smiled relaxedly.
• “There’s no need for that. If he comes again, I will just give him another beating. I will not allow anybody to bully you. Not under my watch!”
• While the two were conversing, two nurses outside were helping a middle-aged man in a hospital gown, as he groaned in pain with every step he took.
• His voice had caught Xu Muqing’s attention. Her eyes lit up as she had quickly called out to the elderly man, “President Liu, what has happened to you?”
• The man frowned, glancing at Xu Muqing without saying a word.
• To him, Xu Muqing simply an insignificant figure, so naturally, there was no need to speak to someone with the likes of her.
• As the man entered the neighboring ward, Xu Haoran asked in a soft voice, “Sister, this man looks familiar! Isn’t he the boss of Tianyi Group, Liu Delun?”
• Xu Muqing nodded. “Yes.”
• Without delay, Xu Haoran grabbed Xu Muqing’s hand, preparing to walk over. “Sister, let’s go over to him now. We might have a chance at the project again if we could please him. That way, our company won’t go bankrupt.”
• Xu Xiaoyang heaved a long sigh as he stopped them, “I’ve already paid him a visit just now. There’s no point in further humiliating ourselves. Ugh!”
• As Xu Xiaoyang spoke, Li Hang had walked out, entering the VIP ward next door.
• This time, Liu Delun was lying on the hospital bed, clutching his left abdomen in pain.

His tapped his fingers lightly on Liu Delun’s abdomen, as if he were playing the piano. His agony was immediately relieved after Li Hang had touched him, as he heaved a deep breath.
• They could not hold back their surprise. “How did you do that?”
• Li Hang avoided the question and answered coldly, “There should be a foreign object about two or three centimeters within his left lower abdomen. Go call a surgeon and help him get it out.”
• “What’s the matter? What’s happened?” At this moment, Director Yang walked in with a young, beautiful female nurse accompanying him.
• Li Hang’s eyes swept between the two of them as he had immediately identified that the two held flushed faces, their hearts pounding fast. It was evident that they had been getting hot and steamy earlier.
• The nurse had proceeded to repeat Li Hang’s words to Director Yang.
• Even after hearing her words, he could not be bothered to address the issue that Li Hang had just raised.
• Turning his head slightly, he sized Li Hang up, from the corners of his eyes in disdain.
• “I’m the surgeon in charge of his tumor removal surgery. I’ve been in this field for more than 20 years and I have never made any mistakes. If we proceed with the surgery based on your opinion, finding no foreign object in his stomach, how should we deal with the situation?”
• Li Hang’s voice remained calm as he advised, “It looks like a cotton swab to me. If it is not taken out immediately, the wound would be infected and inflamed. Then, it will be very troublesome to deal with it.”
• Director Yang snorted. Seeing that Liu Delun was no longer groaning in pain, he did some simple checks on him, before he had turned and left, disregarding Li Hang’s advice. The beautiful female nurse who was following Director Yang threw him a scornful look, “If you are that smart, why won’t you take it out yourself?”
• Li Hang didn’t pay them any heed, as he turned away, walking towards Xu Muqing, Xu Haoran and the others who were standing by the door.
• Suddenly, Liu Delun said, “Brother, is there something in my stomach??”
• To which Li Hang turned, nodding slightly.
• “If that is the case, could I trouble you to help me take it out? I had felt so horrible earlier just now. If that happens again, I think I might die.”
• Li Hang listed down the medical tools required to the nurse beside him.
• “Scalpels, curved vascular forceps, tissue scissors, suture scissors, retractor, surgical forceps, cotton gauze, hemostatic cotton, stitches, and sutures. Bring all of these items to me now.”
• Li Hang’s spoke in such an authoritative manner that one could not dare to refuse. The nurse left to prepare the tools without hesitation.
• Liu Yufen asked Xu Xiaoyang in a whisper, “Isn’t his medical certificate fake? It will be fine, right?”
• As compared to Xu Muqing and the rest, Xu Haoran had full confidence in his brother-in-law.
• “Mom, don’t worry! I know he can do it!”
• Li Hang got Liu Delun to lay down, when all the equipment that he had asked for were in order.
• Just as he was about to pick up the scalpel, Director Yang’s voice boomed from outside, “Stop it right there!”
• He stormed over hastily, jabbing his finger at Li Hang as he hollered, “Do you know what you are doing? How dare you operate on my patient! Who do you think you are!?”
• Li Hang turned a blind eye to Director Yang’s clamoring, picking up the scalpel. With a blank expression, he asked Liu Delun, “What do you say?”
• “Just do it. Hiss... It’s hurting again… Argh, I cannot take it anymore… Ugh!”
• Without another word, Li Hang lifted his hand to slice open the stitches on the wound.
• “You didn’t even administer anesthesia! Did you want him to die of pain?!” Director Yang pulled Li Hang’s hand away as he yelled.
• Then, Li Hang whipped his head and glared at him. His stare had sent chills down Director Yang’s spine as he had uttered coldly, “This is simply a minor surgery that will be over within a minute. You have already given him an analgesic injection, so there is no need for anesthetics.”
• “One minute!? Are you kidding me? If you are able to complete the surgery within a minute, I will kneel and kowtow to you!” Director Yang burst into a feat of scornful laughter!
• Li Hang ignored his sarcastic remarks as he had begun to lift his hands once more, to perform the procedure. It was within a matter seconds that he managed to cut open the wound, inspecting its contents.
• The gory scene was laid before everyone’s eyes, just before they could react to Li Hang’s swift movement.
• They could see nothing but muddled flesh covered in crimson blood.
• “Yikes!” By the door, Xu Haoran immediately covered his eyes with his hands.
• Xu Muqing, on the other hand, had kept her eyes peeled throughout the entire procedure as a thought had crept into her mind, Li Hang was the one who did my heart surgery. In other words, he... He…
