• The sound of the microwave beeped and Rachel sighed as she got up from the kitchen island. She took the hot pie out of the microwave and let it cool for a moment. She then sat back at the island, took a fork and started to eat the pie, albeit unenthusiastically. The taste was bland to her, just like how she felt at that moment.
• As she ate, she couldn't help but think about the man sleeping on the sofa in the living room. Leo. Her boss at Dante Company and now, the CEO of Dante Company. The man she had thought she knew, the man she had grown close to, the man she had let into her life.
