• Rachel was deeply worried about the contract marrell as feeling anxious and stressed. She had tried to push the thought of her mind but it was impossible. The thought of it consumed her thoughts and caused her to have difficulty sleeping, the thought of the contract marriage was always lurking in the back of her mind.
• The idea of being forced into a marriage with someone she doesn't know and may not even like terrifies her. She felt trapped and suffocated by the thought of it. She tried to talk to her mother about it but it led to more distress and emotional turmoil each time she repeated her normal phrase “I am sorry darling but there is nothing that can be done about it”.
