Chapter 84

• I awake to the sound of the blender running downstairs. I groan as I look at the nightstand. It’s 9 in the morning, who? Last night, then flashes in my head. I pull the blankets back, slip out of bed, and head to the bathroom. After brushing my teeth, I let my hair down and headed downstairs to the kitchen. The blender is still running when I enter, but he stops it off.
• “Good morning. Did I wake you?” He asks. I ignore him and head for the coffeemaker. I am still mad about last night. I pour myself a cup, add some cream and milk, then make my way over to the breakfast bar and have a seat. I take the first sip with my eyes closed. When I suddenly feel him wrap his arms around me.
• “Giovanni, let go of me.”
