• I sit at her bedside with her, holding her hand. It’s been twenty-two hours since she passed out, and I took her to the hospital. She was suffering from exhaustion and severe dehydration, along with being pregnant! She's pregnant, only three weeks, but she’s having our baby. I was so happy when I heard the news; I cried. My heart is so whole. I can’t wait until she wakes up to share the good news.
• “Don’t you think you’ve slept long enough?” I ask. Of course, she doesn't respond, but I'm still floating from the pregnancy news, so I kiss her cheek and then her hand before I continue to talk to her.
