I had calmly tolerated Celia's gushing over me, not trying to rudely wade her off in front of my friends, but she kept whispering into my ears non-stop. I knew why she was doing that. She was trying to distract my attention from Drey.
Drey sat across me on the table, with that supposed new boyfriend of hers sitting beside her. The few times I stared at her, I noticed she was unusually quiet and she didn't join in the banters between Lis, Patty, and Evie. I knew something was off but each time I tried to lock gaze with her, she would roll her eyes and look away, unsettling me further.
