Chapter 1
- Ding, Ding!
- Her phone got a message.
- Even though she was still only partially awake, the woman sensed something wasn't right. She was having trouble breathing.
- Rose Linder, still dazed from sleep, opened her eyes wide.
- Her survival instinct took over as her lungs began to scream for air. She put her hands up to her throat, got off the bed carefully, and moved to where her phone was. After reading the message, she discovered that Sophia Linder, her sister, had sent it.
- "Sister, you have no more time to make a decision. Please act quickly to save Sky; we are running out of time. Sky is going to pass away, Rose, the doctor stated. Can you think of a method, Rose, given that you guys grew up together, he saved your life once, and you are engaged to him? Right now, the only person who can save him is you. Sister, brother Sky may be saved by the umbilical cord blood of a child whose blood type is compatible with Sky's. Though the only option, this is the most foolish. However, nobody has the same blood type; how are we going to locate the child? Just in case, Sky, your brother. What will you do, Sister?"
- Rose went to the mirror after setting her phone down on the bed. She glanced and saw how powerless she was. She couldn't sleep that night because of all of this.
- Was she really capable of doing this? It was her duty as his fiancée to protect him, even though this was too much.
- She reconsidered and ultimately decided to go forward.
- Indeed, she intended to act as a surrogate and bear a child in order to preserve Sky's life.
- After taking a bath and eating lunch, she made her way directly to the Four Seasons Hotel.
- She inhaled deeply for the third time as she approached the entrance of the presidential suite. Bright Lee, who shared Sky Tanner's unusual blood type, was the person in the room.
- He was a guy of status and descended from a well-respected family with a lengthy history.
- He was the head of HY Group, the company that maintained financial stability for City J.
- This man was said to be harsh and frigid. Those who stood against him did not fare well in the end. Rumors even circulated that he drove his brothers away in order to hold onto power and that he went through hell to gain it. He was a man who was difficult to provoke.
- And how could someone like that harm oneself in order to help others? She never would have done such a foolish thing if she hadn't been desperate.
- She was unable to worry about the repercussions that might follow. Right now, Sky's life was more essential than anything else.
- Using the room key, Rose unlocked the door and entered silently, holding her breath to hear any noises.
- She moved cautiously over and carefully opened the master bedroom door after hearing a disturbance coming from that direction. The room was dimly lit and dark when the nightstand lamp was flung on the floor.
- "Who's there!" The man by the bed's edge braced his hand against the nightstand. His voice was raspy and seductive, and his form was slightly slumped over.
- It appeared that his body was already reacting to the medicine.
- With poise, Rose approached the man and stood in front of him, looking him in the eye.
- Through the faint light reflected by the fallen bulb, Rose could see the flawless face of Bright. His eyes, which were as deep and dark as the sea, drew people in unintentionally, and his high eyebrows and straight nose gave him a lovely appearance as if he had been blessed by God.
- He looked even more gorgeous despite having fine sweat covering his lovely face and his eyebrows furrowed.
- "Who's there!" Bright Lee's eyes did not soften. She was so ashamed of herself that she dared not look him in the eyes because of the razor-sharp glare in them.
- He sat, staring up at Rose, but the oppression was still very much a part of him.
- Rose smiled perfectly. Her thin fingers undid the beige windbreaker while her crimson lips slightly raised. "Someone who can help you."
- Her words ended, and the jacket slipped off to reveal a thin black lace suspender skirt underneath. Rose had a beautiful body, was seductive and alluring, and exuded charm.
- Bright was already stumbling from the effects of the drug, and the way she was making him even more hungry for sex.
- "Get out!" He averted his gaze and let out a moan through his throat.
- Rose disregarded his command to go. She bowed and leaned in, caressing his sensual and prominent larynx with her thin fingers while she murmured softly. "Don't worry, I am clean."
- Bright's face went icy as he grasped her finger. "I don't need it."
- However, the drug intensified and began to ravage his body viciously. It was difficult for him to ignore the odd sensation inside.
- "You really don't need it?" Rose noticed that Bright's eyes were changing; the more intense the longing, the darker the color. "You're going to feel awful. I just need money to treat my cousin, so I won't bother you. "One million is sufficient."
- She was aware that a man like Bright, in his position and standing, dreaded being bothered. She only wanted to display weakness to allow him to lower his defenses.
- With a small purse of her lips, Rose blew air into Bright's ear sockets, giving him the impression that something electric had shocked his cerebral cortex and smashed whatever he was holding onto. At last, Bright was unable to resist.
- No longer a coward, he turned over and pressed Rose against the plush huge bed. The tiny woman who was playing with fire was subdued by him.
- With razor-sharp eyes, Bright looked at the delectable person underneath him like a wolf that had just sprung to life.
- Her pure skin remained white and reflecting in the low light, gleaming beneath his palm like fine silk and jade. He was addicted to her figure, unable to let go.
- Rose had the impression that he was going to disassemble and devour her. She even started to feel afraid at that point, but it was too late.
- Bright Lee ripped the black lace garment apart, exposing her skin to the cool air.
- Their forms entwined, lingering, beautiful with one another.
- Shutting her eyes, she came to terms with it in silence.
- A tear slipped the corner of her eye as the ache left her body.
- Bright surprised everyone too—she was genuinely tidy.
- Rose had a restless night's sleep. There was enough energy in Bright to kill her.
- She didn't intend to hurt herself when she gave him the extra dose since she was concerned that Bright wouldn't respond to the usual amount.
- He remained motionless for a while before rising as though he was done.
- "Take the pill." With an uncaring voice, Bright threw a pill on the bedside table. "Don't leave trouble behind."
- Although the hotel had contraceptives available for emergency usage, Bright chose not to use one last night due to personal circumstances.
- With composure, Rose took the tablet and drank some cool water.
- "Now take your money and leave, don't let me see you again." His voice grew icier, like a frozen voice. "Otherwise, don't blame me."
- After chatting, Bright went to use the restroom.
- Rose fought the pain throughout her body and forced herself to get out of bed when she heard the sound of water flowing from the restroom. She hurriedly changed, took the check from the nightstand, and tucked it into the windbreaker's pocket before turning to head out.
- Rose spat out the contraceptive pill from under her tongue after departing from the Four Seasons Hotel.
- Feeling confused, she lifted her hand to wipe the corners of her lips before sitting in the vehicle. Her eyes reddened, she could no longer bring herself to be normal.
- She had been delivered to a stranger the first time she should have been kept for her boyfriend. She's never going to be tidy.
- All she could do now was pray that she would get pregnant this time and save Sky's life.
