• "Are you sure this is the place?" Renzo asks, looking at the old cabin ahead. I didn't know there were cabins in Australia. "Yes. The old crusty cabin" Rhett confirms. "Alright, guys let's move," Dean says, stepping out of his car. The rest of us step down quickly to defend him against any attack. "I hate how quiet this place is," Rhett says beside me. I glance at him but he's looking at the house. "Surround the cabin and let me know if you find anything" Dean orders. "Can I be excused? Violence is not...r-, really m-my thing" Twink stutters, gripping the Hem of his shirt as all eyes train on him. I chuckle inwardly. "Sorry, princess but you have to come with us. We won't be able to protect your cute ass if you're sitting back in the car" Renzo says, pulling him to his side. "I really want to believe Roman could be stupid enough to live without protection but I can't" The minute Liam completes his statement, one of the men falls by his side with a bullet in the head. Another drops before we can react at Liam's side. "The bastard! Everyone take cover" Renzo yells and we separate, surrounding the cabin. I go through the back with Rhett by my side. "You're standing in the open, get behind me". He mutters something inaudible before stepping behind me. "You think any of those motherfuckers are up these trees?" I ask, staring at the canopy ahead. "Probably but we've got backup for that. Let's concentrate on getting Riley without a bullet in our heads," He says coldly. I want to question him about his attitude but I hold back. It's a very bad time to bring it up. We hear gunshots from a distance. "Now that didn't take long" I comment. Rhett gives a curt nod before opening the back door. He scans around for any threat before stepping in. I follow him in immediately. "Get down. Those guys might still be up there," He says pulling me down. I crawl along with him and we successfully make it out of the kitchen. "Riley?" We hear Dean's voice and trace it to the dining. "Holy shit!" I gasp. I sidestep the flow of blood and freeze at the sight before me. Roman's cold eyes train ahead with something sticking in his mouth. Dried patches of blood sticking at the sides of his mouth but that's not the main source of the blood. I gulp as my eyes meet his shredded pants. I glance at the girl sitting beside his corpse and then at him. I pin the source of the blood immediately. His missing genitals. "Riley?" Dean calls again getting closer to her. She remained still, staring ahead with a blank expression. My gaze falls on the bloody knife beside her and her bloody hands. Her face has blood trickling down it. "Holy fucking Christ! Did she kill him?" Liam gasps as soon as he steps in. Riley remains unfazed, staring into space. I take a deep breath as Dean drops to her level, wrapping her in his arms. "I'm so sorry, Barbie. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry I couldn't prevent this" He sobs. "Dean?" Her voice comes out tiny and broken. Her eyes are still lost even though her expression changes. "I'm here, baby. I'm here". "My Dean. My Dean isn't coming. Doesn't he want me anymore?" She laughs bitterly. Dean pulls away in shock. "Riley? Riley, I'm here. Baby, I'm here to take you home. Look at me, please...." "He is not coming, is he? I want my Dean. I need my Dean. I want him not you. Stay away from me. Stay away" She spoke quietly but she didn't seem to be talking to him. "Riley...." " She's traumatized Dean. You can't help her here. We need to get her home," Liam says. "But she....." "Liam's right. We need to get her home" Renzo cuts him short. Dean ruffles his hair in frustration and lifts her off the ground. "Dean....Dean...." She clings tightly to his chest. "I want my Dean. He's coming right? He will come, won't he?". I feel so horrible as I watch them walk away. Rhett pulls me into a hug. "They will be fine. It'll be better tomorrow" He whispers, stroking my hair. I smile and hug him back "For her sake, I hope so. Only God knows the torture the bastard put her through" I sigh. "Let's go, shall we?". I nod and follow him outside.
