• I look around the dining room to see that some females are looking at us with disgust in their eyes and Topaz pushes forward to show everyone that she is not pleased, not that those females seem to notice. I turn my attention to the closest female, “What is your problem?” I ask with Topaz’s voice combined with mine and I can see that I am making the female uncomfortable, “Good, maybe that will learn them to mind their own business and to respect their rightful Alpha.” Topaz growls in my head.
• It takes her a few seconds to look at me again and the disgust is still not gone from her eyes, “They are your Stepbrothers, you can’t take them as your Mates. We will never accept something like that in this Pack, even if it means losing our rightful Alpha. Brock would be better suited as our Alpha and he will have no trouble finding a strong female to become his Luna.” She says as she looks at Brock, but because she turns to look at me she misses the disgusted look on his face and Topaz chuckles in my head.
