Chapter 3 Patiently Enduring
- Time flew and another 4 years passed in the blink of an eye.
- "Uncle Seven!"
- "I'm late for school!"
- "I'm leaving first!"
- Ever since she started menstruating, Xi Zhiheng no longer allowed Yan Anmo to sleep with him.
- But, it rained last night. Every time it rained, she ended up sleeping in the same bed as him, and every time she did, she slept particularly well. As a result, she slept in a little!
- So, she was inevitably late again!
- In a panic, she grabbed her school uniform from the housekeeper's hands, put it on, and ran out the front door.
- "Stop. Eat first."
- Xi Zhiheng called her back.
- "Uncle Seven...I'm really going to be late..." Yan Anmo was anxious and troubled. She didn't want to enter the classroom in the middle of a class. It would be so humiliating...
- Xi Zhiheng sighed and nodded, gesturing that she could leave.
- "Thank you, Uncle Seven!" Yan Anmo smiled, suddenly raising her arms and forming a love heart above her head, "Love you!"
- Xi Zhiheng froze and his exquisite lips gently curved upwards. This brat was becoming more and more cheeky and he was helpless against her.
- He looked at Housekeeper Liu and Housekeeper Liu immediately understood. As usual, he wanted him to pack some breakfast so Yan Anmo could eat it in the car.
- But, he was beginning to worry that his Young Master would develop unspeakable feelings towards Yan Anmo. If that happened, then the plan they had worked so hard towards, would be destroyed and come crashing down.
- ……
- At school.
- Yan Anmo ended up arriving in the classroom before the school bell rang. As soon as she walked in, Su Ci immediately helped her remove her backpack, "Why are you rushing in so late again?"
- "I woke up late!" Yan Anmo stuck out her tongue at Su Ci.
- Su Ci was notoriously known at school as a hooligan. He had a good background, he was good-looking, and he had an endless supply of girlfriends. These girls were the kind of rebellious girls that curled their hair, smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol.
- Originally, she and someone like Su Ci never got involved with each other. But, after she hinted him one time in class when the teacher asked him a really difficult question, they seemingly developed an inexplicable friendship.
- After that incident, Su Ci began to initiate conversations with her. Over time, he gradually became a rare friend of Yan Anmo's.
- As Yan Anmo sat down in her seat before the teacher arrived, she heard a few girls laughing at her from behind.
- "She was almost late again. Maybe she was too tired from serving that tycoon. I heard from my father that wealthy men like young girls!"
- These words triggered a loud laughter from the other students in the room. The girl that was speaking was called, Ding Shan. She was the daughter of the Ding Family and she was an arrogant person that didn't like it when people were more impressive than her.
- And, Yan Anmo, was her biggest eyesore.
- No one at school knew about Yan Anmo's identity. The car that usually dropped her off at school was very ordinary, but occasionally, she was seen getting in and out of a luxury car.
- Ding Shan even asked her father to privately investigate Yan Anmo, but no results were found.
- "Ding Shan, was she perhaps serving your father?" As soon as these words were said, Ding Shan almost exploded in anger. She walked straight up to the girl and threw a slap across her face!
- "Shut up!"
- "My father would never be interested in her!"
- The girl was frightened. Knowing that her family's status was far inferior to Ding Shan's and that she may have to count on her one day, she immediately bowed her head, admitted her mistakes, and hid at the back.
- Yan Anmo knew the commotion was related to her, but she never caused trouble. So, she simply sat there quietly like she was invisible; she was afraid of causing trouble for Uncle Seven.
- From the day that she first met Xi Zhiheng, he had told her to keep her situation confidential, to never reveal her identity, and more importantly, to not let anyone know who he was.
- "Hey!"
- "Your mouth is filled with daily insults, but no one's ever responded to you. Is there a point to your one-man show?"
- Just because Yan Anmo didn't respond, it didn't mean others would remain quiet.
- Su Ci was the first person who couldn't stand Ding Shan's insults. As soon as he spoke, all the boys burst into laughter as expected and Ding Shan was treated as a joke.
- "That's right, say a few less word. I don't know how you have so much energy to spend on others!"
- Yan Anmo had a good personality, she had good academics, and she was acknowledged as the prettiest girl at school. Which boy didn't like her?
- Yan Anmo blushed with embarrassment when she heard Su Ci's voice.
- She tugged at his sleeve, gesturing for him to not bother with Ding Shan.
- "I really need to release my anger today!" Ding Shan was furious. Everyone knew she liked Su Ci, yet he was speaking up for the girl she hated the most!
- "Yan Anmo!"
- "I've disliked you for a long time!"
- Yan Anmo wanted to dissolve the matter, but Ding Shan was not allowing it. Before Yan Anmo saw it coming, Ding Shan rushed straight up to her desk and arrogantly flipped it over. She then grabbed Yan Anmo's hair fiercely.
- Yan Anmo did not expect this to happen!
- Her originally blank mind was instantly awoken by the painful tug on her scalp!
- It really hurt--!
- "Let go!" When Su Ci saw this, he kicked away his desk, stood up, and shoved his hands in his pockets with an uncomfortable and fierce expression.
- Although Ding Shan was arrogant, she was still afraid of Su Ci. So, she held back her tears of humiliation and let go of Yan Anmo's hair.
- "Yan Anmo, you just wait!" Ding Shan gritted her teeth as her hatred for Yan Anmo doubled again.
- Yan Anmo had never suffered such unfairness. She wanted to fight back, but she couldn't.
- Tears rolled around in her eyes but she did not say a word as she quietly squatted down to clean up the messy pile of textbooks on the ground.
- "Let me help you," Su Ci approached and lifted Yan Anmo's desk up. Yan Anmo looked at him thankfully. Although they sat close to each other, this was the first time she had looked at Su Ci's face properly. Only then did she realize that he was actually quite good-looking.
- "Oh hey, the little hooligan's in love with the good girl."
- "Isn't this a scene that only appears in idol dramas?" Those close to Su Ci began to tease him.
- "F*ck you!" Su Ci casually picked up a blackboard eraser and threw it at them!
- He then snuck a glance at Yan Anmo and discovered she had her head down. Through her long black hair, he could vaguely see her blushing face.
