Chapter 6 Nearly Lost Innocence

  • "Ah! You're such a pervert!" Allacia exclaimed in alarm. Her body huddled in the corner as she frantically shielded herself from Zishan's intense gaze.
  • A tumult of emotions surged within her, a volatile blend of anger and desperation. Her eyes brimmed with shimmering tears, and they were on the verge of spilling down her cheeks. This scene pulled at the heartstrings of anyone who dared to witness her turmoil.
  • "This is your punishment! As my woman, you should uphold your virtue and refrain from dancing with other men, let alone allowing them to hold you," Zishan asserted with a tone laced with authority and possessiveness.
  • Allacia's sense of helplessness and injustice engulfed her entirely.
  • "Zishan!! Have you lost your mind?! Daniel is my fiancé. You're the outsider here!"
  • "Fiancé?" His lips curled into a cold sneer. "Allacia, don't delude yourself. You can't fool me. You and Daniel haven't even been intimate!"
  • "You, you..." Her chest heaved with anger, yet she found herself at a loss for words and unable to formulate a retort.
  • Indeed, she hadn't shared such intimacy with Daniel or any man, for that matter...
  • As he softened, his resolve wavered at the sight of her tearful gaze. He reluctantly decided to grant her leniency this time.
  • But just as the tension seemed to ease, Daniel's voice echoed from outside the door.
  • "Allacia! Are you in there?" The sound of her name jolted Allacia to the core. The mere thought of Daniel catching her entangled with Zishan filled her with dread, a potential scandal looming over her.
  • She anxiously tugged at the hem of his shirt and whispered urgently, "Please, don't make a sound! I beg you!"
  • Witnessing her meticulous efforts to uphold the idealized image in her first love's heart, a surge of fury pulsed beneath his skin, etching lines of frustration across his forehead.
  • With one swift motion, he stripped her of all her clothes, pulled her close against him, then fiercely captured her soft lips in a searing kiss and bit down hard...
  • "Ah...," She tried to protest, but her words were swallowed by the intensity of his kiss, and her resisting hands were pinned behind her back.
  • As they kissed, Zishan deliberately thrust his body forward, causing the door to rattle.
  • "Ow...," the petite Allacia whimpered, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
  • Zishan's kisses grew more aggressive, his hands exploring every inch of her trembling body.
  • "No…"
  • After Zishan came to a sudden stop, Allacia felt her strength drain away, worn down by the relentless torment she had endured.
  • His gaze fell upon her flushed cheeks, and it stirred a whirlwind of conflicting emotions within him once more.
  • Taking a deep breath to rein in his turbulent feelings, he delicately retrieved a handkerchief and used it to dab at the water stains on his fingers, his eyes clouded with a brooding intensity as he inquired, "Feeling any relief now? Still clinging to thoughts of your worthless ex-fiancé?"
  • Allacia, fresh from an ordeal unlike any other, found her legs quivering so violently she struggled to remain upright.
  • With a mixture of anger and frustration, she glared defiantly at the man before her and scoffed, "You actually believe your feeble attempts could satisfy me?"
  • "Hmph, your tongue is as sharp as ever!" Zishan tossed the handkerchief he had used to wipe his hands onto Allacia's lap, his tone laced with a warning, "If you dare to ignore me again, don't be surprised if I decide to claim you for myself!"
  • With those words, he began to stride away, but she seized the hem of his trousers at that moment, her grip firm and determined.
  • On the ground, she begged with tears shimmering in her eyes. "Mr. Lloyd, please spare me. I admit my fault. I shouldn't have stumbled into the wrong hotel room and shouldn't have become entangled with you. I cannot afford to provoke your wrath. Please, just let me be…
  • "I am not the type of woman who engages in conquest games with you. I have a child, a family…" Her words trembled with the weight of her desperation, each syllable laden with the fear of what consequences her actions might bring.
  • Allacia grasped the harsh reality all too keenly. Men of Zishan's caliber, with their towering stature of power and influence, wielded control over every aspect of existence. Her audacious defiance only served to stoke the flames of his insatiable thirst for dominance.
  • In the wake of her confrontation, she found herself grappling with the weight of her error; challenging Zishan was a folly she now bitterly regretted. She stood no chance against his formidable might.
  • As he made his departure, an ominous chill seemed to emanate from his very being, shrouding him in an aura of icy detachment. Though his penetrating gaze lingered upon her, he offered no retort before vanishing from her sight.
  • Left to her own devices after his exit, she crumpled to the ground, her spirit deflating like a punctured balloon.
  • She felt a mixture of dread and relief and was grateful that she hadn't lost her innocence.
  • ...
  • In the dead of night, she tossed and turned in bed as she was unable to sleep. It was then that a notification flashed on her phone screen. A video message from Daniel awaited her on WhatsApp.
  • With trepidation, she opened the video, only to be assaulted by the lewd sounds of a woman's ecstatic moans and cries of pleasure. Shock coursed through her veins as Daniel callously subjected her to footage of his intimate encounters with his mistress.
  • A sickening wave of nausea churned in the pit of her stomach, threatening to engulf her in its suffocating embrace.
  • Allacia's limbs became frozen as she was enveloped by an overwhelming sense of powerlessness.
  • Six agonizing years. She had waited for Daniel for six long years. Enduring humiliation after humiliation, disappointment after disappointment, she had finally reached her breaking point.
  • Allacia's fingers deftly composed a message to Daniel. "Daniel, I can't wait for you any longer. Our relationship has reached its end," she typed, her heart heavy with finality.
  • Then, she blocked his number and all other traces of him from her digital world.
  • The next day, she went to the kindergarten to handle the withdrawal procedures for Denea.
  • When she first arrived in Tralis, a glimmer of hope lingered in her heart, a hope that she might one day reunite with the two children she had been forced to part with. Yet, as the years slipped by without any news, that hope dwindled into a mere flicker in the darkness of uncertainty.
  • Now, she was besieged by the relentless pressure of Zishan and the lingering humiliation inflicted by Daniel at every turn.
  • She decided to leave behind the suffocating grip of the city and embrace the tranquility of the countryside, where she could nurture Denea in peace alongside her grandmother.
  • Just as she poised her pen over the withdrawal application, her thoughts were abruptly shattered by the urgent arrival of Denea's homeroom teacher. Panic etched lines of worry on the teacher's face as she relayed the alarming news. "Miss Clayton, something's wrong! Denea has lost a lot of blood and fainted!"
  • At the hospital, the doctor handed Allacia a stack of test results to analyze the situation.
  • "What did you say? Leukemia, and it's in the late stage?"
  • Allacia's world shattered once more as the doctor delivered the devastating diagnosis. "Leukemia," the word hung heavy in the air, suffocating her hopes and dreams. And to hear that it was already in its late stages felt like a cruel twist of fate, a punishment for her daughter daring to hope for a better life.
  • As tears blurred her vision and her legs threatened to give way beneath her, Allacia crumbled to the ground with tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
  • Denea, my precious child, is only six years old. She's such a vibrant girl who's full of life, so how can she be afflicted by such a cruel and insidious disease? She questioned herself inwardly.
  • "The situation is quite serious. We need to proceed with a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. Do you have any other children? We can check for compatibility." His voice, though calm, carried an undercurrent of urgency that sent shivers down her spine, her heart sinking like a stone into the depths of despair.
  • Her two other children had been separated from her since birth, and their whereabouts were unknown to her. How could she possibly find them and determine if they were a match for Denea's transplant?
  • Allacia shook her head repeatedly, her voice choked with tears.
  • The doctor sighed heavily. "I'll keep an eye out for any potential donors," he offered, a small glimmer of hope in the sea of despair.
  • After seeing off the doctor, All made her way back to the ward.
  • Denea lay in the hospital bed, hooked up to IV drips, and her eyes were filled with fear of the unknown.
  • "Mommy, what's happening to me?" Her voice trembled with anxiety.
  • Summoning every ounce of strength, Allacia forced a reassuring smile to mask the turmoil raging within her own heart. "Don't worry, sweetheart. Everything will be okay. We just need to stay here for a bit and get some medicine, then we can go home."
  • Denea's tension eased slightly at Allacia's words.
  • She clutched Allacia tightly and voiced her deepest fears, her voice barely above a whisper, "Mommy, I don't want to be sick. I don't want you to worry. I want to be a good girl for Mommy…"
  • Allacia's heart clenched tightly as she enveloped Denea in a protective embrace.
  • "My darling, you've always been mommy's little angel," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion.
  • In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of Denea's condition, the hospital arranged for her to stay for a week. Armed with a plethora of data, Allacia finally brought Denea home.
  • As they approached the apartment building, they spotted Levell curled up against the door, fast asleep.
  • Throughout this ordeal, Allacia had been consumed by worry for Denea. Hence, leaving no room for reflections on Levell or the man who once held her heart.
  • She gently roused him from his slumber before unlocking the door and ushering the two youngsters inside.
  • Levell, still as clingy as ever, chattered a lot to her as they settled in.
  • Allacia couldn't help but wonder if Zishan had issued any warnings to Levell after their encounter that fateful night…
  • After turning on the television for them, she disappeared into the kitchen to prepare a pot of spaghetti.
  • Levell and Denea engaged in a playful eating contest. It was a heartwarming scene that made Allacia's heart melt. If only Levell is my son, that would be wonderful...
  • After the meal, the two children tired themselves out with play and drifted off to sleep together.
  • When Allacia was sifting through Denea's medical records, tears welled up involuntarily, tracing a path down her cheeks like silent rivers of sorrow.
  • A half-asleep Levell was roused by the sound of Allacia's soft weeping. Groggily, he sat up and wrapped his small arms around her in a gesture of comfort. "Mommy, what's wrong?" he murmured.
  • Allacia quickly wiped away her tears. She was startled by his sudden awakening. "Levell, your little sister Denea is sick," she explained, her voice trembling with emotion. "She needs to find her biological brother to donate bone marrow for a chance at survival."
  • "Have you heard about the young heir of a prominent family in Tralis who went into a coma six years ago?" she continued, her words carrying a weight of desperation. "I gave birth to two boys for him back then, and they are Denea's biological brothers. If we can find them, Denea might have a chance..."
  • The revelation struck Levell like a bolt from the blue, leaving him speechless in its wake. He struggled to maintain his composure as he wracked his brain for any recollection that might offer a glimmer of hope.
  • It was as if a distant memory stirred within him, something his grandfather had mentioned years ago. Six years prior, his father had been involved in a car accident, rendering him comatose for a time. And then there was mention of a younger brother…
