Chapter 11 Chairman
- "Dave?" Jessie stared in disbelief. "How could it be you?"
- "Is something wrong?" Dave asked calmly.
- "What business is it of yours?" She quickly regained her composure. "Dave, do you have no shame? Why are you sitting in Mr. Quinn's chair? What, getting addicted to pretending now?"
- "Let me tell you, the Grangers have already seen through your scam. Just wait to be kicked out of the Granger family!"
- Footsteps echoed in the room as a middle-aged man appeared at the door. It was Patrick, the president of Dayrale Group.
- "Mr. Quinn, you're here just in time. This guy is sitting in your chair, pretending to be the president of Dayrale Group, trying to scam people. You can't let a fraud like this off the hook," Jessie complained as she rushed to Patrick.
- "Mr. Quinn, please don't misunderstand. I didn't come here with him. I have no connection to him whatsoever."
- Patrick's expression darkened. He shoved Jessie aside and hurriedly walked up to Dave.
- "Mr. Orion, is she bothering you?" Patrick asked respectfully, glancing coldly at Jessie with clear hostility in his eyes.
- "What?" Jessie thought she misheard. "Mr. Quinn, what did you just call him? You must be mistaken! He's Dave Orion…"
- "Shut up!" Patrick barked at Jessie. "Who do you think you are? How dare you address our chairman by name?"
- "No, Mr. Quinn, you must be mistaken! He just got out of prison. He's a criminal…"
- Smack!
- Patrick slapped Jessie hard across the face.
- "I've tolerated you long enough. Get out, now!" His face turned ashen with anger.
- "Let it go. No need to get worked up," Dave said nonchalantly. "Since she doesn't want any association with me, Dayrale Group won't cooperate with the Orions anymore. Just have security send her out."
- As two security guards dragged Jessie away, she still couldn't believe it. How is this possible? How did Dave become the chairman of Dayrale Group? What happened to the world? How could something so bizarre occur?
- "My lord, there's something I need to ask your permission for. My nephew, Terry Quinn, wants to train with our group. I was thinking of letting him start from the bottom," Patrick asked, his voice filled with respect.
- "No need. I just happen to have a new plan. Let your nephew take over as chairman," Dave said with a faint smile. "I've been quite busy lately."
- "But I'm worried that my nephew might not be ready…" Patrick hesitated.
- "It's fine. Just keep an eye on him. Besides, since I'm appointing him as chairman, I'll take full responsibility if anything goes wrong."
- Dave waved it off. His priority was drawing out the Venomous Sect members by keeping a low profile.
- "Understood. I will follow your orders," Patrick replied respectfully.
- Dave stood up and left, planning to meet Crystal. Since the Venomous Sect had already targeted her, he needed to keep an eye on her.
- ...
- At Granger Group, Crystal sat in her office. Her mother had just called again, urging her to leave Dave, but this time she had firmly refused.
- She knew her mother meant well, but she was also concerned about her health.
- In reality, she wanted to continue observing Dave, and she also wanted to keep an eye on her mother's condition.
- "Ms. Granger, I'm sorry to drop by unannounced."
- A young woman in a suit and sunglasses walked in. "My name is Kaala Vennum, and there's something urgent we need to discuss. It's about your new husband, Dave Orion. There are some things you should know."
