Chapter 31 Teaching Him a Lesson

• A group of people barged in with an air of hostility. Leading them was a man and a woman—the man, stocky and broad-shouldered, looked to be in his forties, while the woman, slender with long legs, appeared to be in her early twenties.
• The woman pointed accusingly at Chloe. "Honey, it's her! She's the one who bumped into me! Not only did she refuse to apologize, but she also yelled at me first. I snapped back at her once, and she slapped me straight across the face!"
• Everyone turned instinctively toward Chloe. A few minutes earlier, she had stepped out without saying much when she returned. No one had any idea she had been involved in an altercation.
