Chapter 34 Choosing Between Fame & Love

• “Today is the day!” Layla pulled the covers off her with a massive smile on her face and jumped out of bed, she picked her afro extra today and got dressed in the first. Today was the day she would do a scene with Bianca and she was so excited for it. She was bouncing as she walked and when her Uber came, she jumped in like a fish would jump into the water.
• It felt like they were on the road for ages but it was only 20 minutes. She wanted to get to HQ very early so she would help prepare for the shoot too, and also rehearse some things with Bianca before they got behind the camera. She got to Hedonis and tipped her driver before rushing in.
• The first person she saw was Jay and he was still having his morning coffee. He made eye contact with her and his eyes widened, he checked his wristwatch and when his eyes left the handles of the watch, she was right in his face. Smiling. A bit too much.
