Chapter 7 A Drunk Mia

• "You are not leaving sweetheart"
• " What do you mean by that? You don't expect me to stay here forever do you? I have my own life I need to get back to. People are.. "
• " People are what? Waiting for you?" He interrupted her with this question
• "Yes people are waiting for me I have people that will look for me "
• Adrian dropped his cutlery and wiped his mouth " you and I both know that no one is waiting for you neither is anyone going to be looking for you" he fixed his hard gaze on her
• He must have done a research on her to know that she had no friends or family that would look for her "it doesn't matter if anyone is waiting for me or going to look for me. I have my own life and I need to get back to it"
• "You are not leaving sweetheart" he repeated again and he picked up his cutlery and began to eat
• "What do you mean?" Mia stood up and slammed her hand on the table. "You can't keep me here, I have rights and I can.."
• He paused from slicing a steak "rights? Do you really have rights?"
• Mia's frustration was building up. The man was so damn infuriating she felt like rushing to the other side of the table and punching his mouth
• "I have my own life return to"
• " What life? A life of stealing? Stripping? Prostituting?"
• Mia flinched at this, she was not proud of what she did for a living but she has no other choice and that did not also give him an opportunity to rub it in her face
• Her chin went up "yes, that is my life and what I do with my body is none of your business"
• She looked down to the table when their eyes met. She could feel his eyes drilling holes into her head but she did not have enough courage to look up and meet his eyes
• "So how are you going to pay me back my money? " He stood up from his chair and began to walk around the table to her
• Two million dollars? Where in God's name would she see that kind of money to give to him? She felt tears gather in her eyes. She has already given the money to that other man
• She could not get the money back and if she did not leave to go and look for how to gather the rest of the money she owes the other man then she was doomed
• She shouldn't have seduced this man and stolen his money. She has heard many things about him but she chooses to ignore it because of her desperation now see where it has led her to. She has been kidnapped
• Adrian came to a stop in front of her "how are you going to pay me back my money? " He asked again
• Of course he knew that she would not be able to pay him back as after all his heavy research they finally found something on her
• He already know everything about her childhood up until she was fifteen and then from where she just showed up one day in an underground club asking for the job of a stripper when she was twenty five
• He could not find anything about her from when she was fifteen to when she turned twenty five. He wanted to ask her about why that part of her life could not be found but he knew that she would not tell him
• The one week and three days he had been away was hell for him and his wolf. He has never really cared much about the topic of mates but now that he has found his mate he finally understands
• He and his wolf, though they have just met her, they missed her terribly. His wolf has nearly gone on a rampage not understanding why they had to leave their mate for a week and three days
• The business deal he went for was very important and could not be missed, this was what he thought but when he got there and his wolf began to cause a huge disturbance in his head he just knew that he has to come home
• Now the mate they came home to see was not happy to see them. His wolf was not happy about it because they both crave her touch, her smell. They wanted to take her and hear her moan their name as she came over and over again
• He was going to make her stay one way or the other but he knew that it won't be an easy fit given that she was keen to leave
• "How about this sweetheart"
• Mia turned to look at him " what?"
• " Since you owe me and cannot pay me back, you have to start working for me"
• " Who said that I can't pay you back" she still had a bit of pride left
• "Can you?" He asked her back
• "No I cant" Mia sighed and looked at the ground, finally accepting defeat
• He was giving her an option to set herself free. He was not a tyrant like the other man or like she thought. Maybe he could be reasoned with
• Though he took her against her wish, she stole from him a huge amount of money so she has to pay him back even if she does not have the money so working for him was fine. The question now is what type of job and how long would she have to do it
• "What type of job am I to do and for how long am I going to do it?"
• "You will follow me everywhere and do anything I ask of you"
• Since he now understood that after meeting you mate you won't want them out of your sight he was going to keep her within his sight. For his own good and that of his wolf's
• "That is not a job" Mia head snapped up and her eyes went to his
• "Really? If I say it's a job then it's a job" he reached out with one hand to caress her face. His wolf began to dance in his head when she did not reject his touch
• Mia did not move away from him when he touched her face and began to caress it. The man the whole nation even the government was scared of was standing in her front and caressing her face
• He was touching her face and looking at her with heavy lidded eyes like she was his beloved.
• "When will you let me go?"
• He did not reply her question instead he made her sit back on her chair "eat sweetheart" his voice was gentle and filled with something she did not know
• Her heart was calm with the fact that she won't be getting locked up in that room again but she would be following him everywhere. That would give her a chance to escape
• She was not hungry before but now that it was settled that she won't be getting locked up again she was suddenly hungry so she picked up her cutlery and began to eat
• Adrian returned back to his seat when he saw that she was now eating. Maybe she won't be escaping after all but he was not so sure, he would still be keeping an eye on her
• After their dinner, dessert was served and then they drank wine to wash the food down
• "Goodnight" Mia stood up from her chair and without sparing him a glance she began walking away from him
• "Sit down sweetheart, I have not asked you to go" he has not had enough of looking at her, after all he has not see her in almost two weeks
• Mia paused and turn back "I need to go to bed, moreover I do not need your permission to go to bed"
• Adrian's eyes thin at her words "now that's not how you talk to your boss" he reprimanded her in a low voice but it was loud enough for her to hear
• "You are not my BOSS" she placed emphasis on the boss
• " Have you forgotten so soon that you now work for me and that makes me your boss? " His eyes flickered with lazy amusement as he watch her eyes darken in rage
• "Fine" she could not argue so she marched back and sat down with a plop on her seat "now that I am back what do you want?"
• "To look at you" he said it like it was the most normal thing to do in the world
• Mia did not have the strength to say anything again to him so she picked up the bottle of unfinished wine and poured some into her glass
• There was silence in the dining room which none of them bothered to break. Mia kept on drinking until she emptied the bottle of wine
• Adrian frowned at her actions but motioned to a maid nearby to bring out another bottle of the same wine for her
• Mia who was not lost in her whole thoughts continues to drink as if trying to drown her sorrows. She has completely forgotten that she was a bad drunk who when toxicated; always misbehaves
• "Now that's enough for tonight sweetheart"
• Mia who was already drunk did not notice when he stood up and came over to her side until he placed his hand over hers which was reaching for the bottle of wine again
• "But am not done yet" she slurred the words together
• "Yes you are, now stand up and go up to your room" his voice held a commanding edge to it
• Mia's head snapped up quickly at his commanding tone that he was scared that she would hurt her neck
• "You are not my boss" she slurred, her eyes were hazy and unfocused
• He shook his head " come here"
• He reached down and gathered her up in his arms and began to walk to her room
• "Hey put me down" she waved her arms wildly
• Her voice was loud and since her mouth was close to his ears he felt like his ears drums were about to burst coupled with the face that he was a werewolf and already had heightened senses
• "Shut it" he snap at her
• "You smell so nice" she curled into his arms and began to sniff his scent. She buried her face in his neck
• Adrian ignored her moves and walked with her still ok his as to her room. His steps flattered and her nearly dropped her when she suddenly gave his neck a small lick
• "So tasty" her hands went to his chest and began to grope him
• Adrian cursed under his breath when his wolf began to roar in his head and he felt his body being slammed by a powerful jolt of arousal. This little woman in his arms would be the death of him
