Chapter 2
- LINDY
- Sleep.
- I needed to sleep.
- I guess I was too happy with how the events turned out after I told him about our child that I wasn't able to fall asleep. I know Harry is mature enough and he is responsible to show his love and support for our baby. All those worried thoughts washed away as soon as he gave me reassurance. I loved how he promised me he would be here for us, I just wish he would keep his promise.
- I moved to and fro on this super soft bed while Harry was sleeping peacefully right next to me. I envied how he was sleeping soundly and I don't know why my mind is so filled with so many thoughts. Even though it was so soft, I still wasn't able to go back to sleep and God, I'm starving again.
- I pulled my head up and glanced at the clock, shit it was already three in the morning.
- I hate how I'm unable to go back to sleep once I wake up in the middle of the night after using the bathroom.
- I hate waking up at weird hours and how my thoughts invade my mind and paying no rent in it.
- Scanning through the dim room, my mind drifts me to thinking about my future. Even though Harry is here, I can't help but still worry of the changes that I will be having in my life. But there is nothing to worry right? I have Harry and he won't leave me.
- He loves me.
- I moved my head to the shirtless Harry who was facing me while he was in his deep sleep while his snore escapes his subtly parted lips. Until this day, I still can't believe how I am starting a family with him. The thought is exciting and appalling, almost hard to believe but there's still fear in the back of my head.
- Staring at him like this, vulnerable and calm, makes me feel the luckiest woman in the world to be loved by this man.
- I love how his eyelashes were resting just above his cheeks, and how I love staring at his calm unblemished face, not even a muscle is tensed. His biceps were relaxed too while I watch his chest moving up and down, watching him breathing.
- Watching him breathe and sleep is now one of my favorite things.
- I pushed the tendrils of his hair off his face that made him crinkle his nose and his pink full lips pursed out.
- He looks like an angel asleep.
- My stomach growls out of the blue and I can't believe how hungry I am right now.
- I pulled myself up and sat down on the bed, wondering what foods were inside the fridge of this lavish hotel. I walked my way to the small fridge and as soon as I opened it, I was then welcomed by varieties of foods and drinks. Although there were a lot in it which I'm sure is delicious, but nothing to my liking. I used to eat chocolate minibars in the middle of the night but my appetite right is craving for something else.
- I wanted to have a vanilla smoothie, a chocolate smoothie and the taste of lasagna with lots of cheese on it.
- I groan in frustration as my stomach makes another growl.
- To be honest, I didn't know that being pregnant would be this troublesome. I have this sudden urge of a particular dish at such a weird time of the day. Moreover, I have this sudden feeling of wanting to cry so bad because I really need to eat lasagna but I don't even like lasagna in the first place. I'm feeling like the need to cry but the reason is so petty that it makes me want to cry for more thinking about.
- Brokenhearted, I went back to bed and sat next to Harry. I stared at him for a while and I don't want to wake him up to disturb him but I am really super hungry and craving.
- I sighed as I scratched my hair.
- "Harry." I pulled him back and forth gently.
- He groaned deep on his throat.
- "Baby wake up c'mon." I moved him even harder.
- I sighed heavily. Damn, why is this guy so hard to wake up?
- "Harry!!" I screamed.
- He opened his eyes wide open in an instant and pulled himself up looking puzzled and nervous. He holds me, looking shocked and cute at the same time with his hooded fluffy eyes which looked really adorable. I felt bad to what I did to him and that I gave him a fright in the middle of the night.
- "What? What's wrong? Are you hurt somewhere? Tell me. Did something happen?" He asks quickly.
- He pushed his hair off his face and stared at him, "What? What's the matter?" His eyes showing concern.
- Devilish me, I burst into spurts of laughter because he had the most adorable expression. It was so adorable how he got worried of me and how his face changed into looking at me worriedly and confusedly.
- "What?" He asks with his thick British accent. "What?? Why are you laughing now? What's wrong Lindy?"
- I pressed my lips together trying to contain my laughter, "I'm just.... hungry."
- He exhaled heavily and lowered his head, "I thought you were hurt." He muffled while he rubs his eyes.
- "Sorry." I say to him.
- He pulls his head up and kisses my forehead, "Don't scare me like that ever again. I thought there was an intruder or something."
- I kiss his cheek and scooted to his chest, "I'm sorry."
- "It's okay baby." He tells me while he pulled himself out from the bed and headed out of the bedroom.
- "Where are you going?" I asked him.
- He paused and stood by the doorway, "To get you foods from the fridge. You said you were hungry, right?"
- "Yes. But there's a problem."
- "What is it?"
- "Pregnancy problem."
- His face almost looking sad, "You're having cravings."
- I nod slowly.
- "Lindy it's three in the morning. I'm really sleepy and..." He stops with what he was going to say and sighs very deeply while he was scratching his hair. He closes the bedroom door again and walks quietly back towards the bed.
- "Let's have it delivered here." He says with a smile.
- I nod with a happy smile as I watch him take his phone from the counter before he walks back to bed and pulled me in. I lay next to him as we watch his phone while he scrolls through some delivery apps in his phone.
- "What do you want?" He asks while I feel him playing with my hair.
- "Vanilla smoothie. Chocolate smoothie. Lasagna. Make sure it has lots of cheese. Possibly extra cheese. Oh, and could you order some fries too? No flavor. And don't forget the ranch." I answered without hesitation.
- He stares at me with widened eyes so I asked, "What?"
- "Nothing. I was thinking you'd eat a lighter meal since we just ate."
- "I'm really hungry."
- "Okay. We'll get all that."
- It took almost twenty minutes for Harry to find a driver to deliver my orders and I was getting too disappointed. All of a sudden, he stands from the bed and walks towards the dresser.
- "Harry where are you going?" I asked.
- He pulls out his trousers, a shirt and slipped on his boots, "It's taking too long. I'm going to drive by and get it."
- "I thought you're really sleepy?" I asked shyly.
- I watch him put on his clothes while sis hair was a mess and his face looking really sleepy. "I wouldn't want a pregnant woman to get mad at me. Much worst than a woman on their period. And I love you so much."
- He walks towards me and plants a kiss on my forehead, "I can't let you and our baby starve. I mean what kind of a father am I, right?" He winks sleepily.
- I smiled at him as I cup his face and kissed his lips, "Thank you."
- At least he's being a responsible boyfriend and father to my baby. Our baby. I kept rubbing my stomach and stared back at him.
- "You're always welcome." He tells me with a sweet smile. "Anything else you want to eat that I can get you, babe?"
- I shake my head sideways, "I'm sorry if I'm making you do this at three in the morning."
- "It's okay." He smiles and begins to walk towards the dresser to get his tie for his hair. He ties his hair in a bun and looks at me again but he smiles, "It is okay don't worry."
- "Come to bed." I reached out my hand to him. "Let's just go back to sleep and just forget about this. I'll just sleep my hunger and—"
- He takes my hand, "I have already ordered it so I just need to pick them up. Don't worry, I'm wide awake." he widened his eyes with his fingers.
- I chuckle softly as he smiles at me and kisses my knuckles, "You just stay here, alright? It's cold outside, I don't want you to get sick." He added.
- He plants a kiss on my lips while his hand holds on the back of my head. When he finally pulled himself away, I smiled at him and I was really moved by what he is planning to do. He still look so sleepy with his fluffy eyes and showed me his weak sleepy smile.
- "I'll be back. Love you." He tells me.
- He grabbed his trench coat from the chair and placed it around himself as he inserts his phone inside his pocket. "Do you want me to leave the lights on?" He questions with concern eyes.
- I shake my head sideways, "This is okay."
- He nods. "Or you wanna watch TV while waiting for me to come back?" He pulls up the remote control and smile.
- "I'll watch TV." I said.
- He turns on the TV and walked back towards me to hand the remote. I kissed his cheek before he walks out of the bedroom and told him to take care. I was left on top of the bed with this French TV show that I don't know what they were talking about.
- I kept flickering through the French channels for about thirty minutes or so and I still didn't find anything that I liked. My eyes kept on glancing at the clock and Harry is taking so much time that made me feel really sleepy and anxious waiting for him.
- Where is Harry now?
- '"Hang in there baby, daddy's going to get us some foods." I tell my bump.
- Finally I hear the main door open and Harry enters the bedroom with take-outs in his hand. My smile grew bigger as soon as the aroma of foods entered the room. I felt even hungrier from the smell of it. "Delivery!" Harry jokes as he approaches me.
- "Did you buy lasagna?" I chimed.
- "Yeah. Everything is in there." He placed all the foods over my lap and plants a kiss on my cheek. "Happy eating baby." He smiles at me and kisses at my stomach.
- "Thank you." I tell him. "How far did you drive to get this?"
- "Four blocks." He answered as he yawned.
- "You're the best." I tell him.
- He chuckles and answers, "I know."
- I smiled and hugged him quickly while he rubs my spine with his palm.
- Once I ate, I have never been this satisfied with a food before that I haven't really eaten. It felt like the cheese was melting and there were different tastes inside my mouth which was overwhelming. I began to sip from the chocolate smoothie and it was indeed the right kind of sweet that I wanted.
- "Babe you should try—" When I moved my head to him, Harry was quick to fall back to sleep right next to me on the bed. I smiled to myself and felt blessed to have such a boyfriend like him. I couldn't explain how I love him so much.
- Who wouldn't fall in love with a guy who went four blocks away just to buy me foods I'm craving for at three in the freaking morning even though he was still sleepy?
- I pulled out his boots, unlocked his jeans and pulled them out from his legs. I fixed his legs over the bed and covered him with the comforter. "Thank you." I say over his face before I planted my lips over his forehead. "Sleep well my love."
