Chapter 489 Impulsive Vow To An Enigmatic Husband
- Leonardo, after being picked on by everyone, said, “Cornella, your double standards are just too blatant Cornelia shot back, “Got a problem with it?” Leonardo retorted, “What could I possibly say?” Cornelia said, “Good.” Leonardo added, “If you guys keep messing with me, I’m outta here.” But nobody cared. He didn’t really want to leave anyway. He had nothing to do at home and his new girlfriend had gone to the Capital; there was no way she’d be back anytime soon. Then, the doorbell rang again. Cornelia rushed to answer it because she knew it had to be Granny Luisa and Briana. When she opened the door, not only Granny Luisa and Briana were there, but a bunch of others too, each one holding a fancy gift box. Cornelia said, “Granny Luisa, I just invited you for dinner, why are you bringing me gifts?”
- Granny Luisa replied, “You moved to a new place, of course I’d bring a gift. She directed everyone to move the gifts into the house and line them up near the balcony in the living room. When all the gifts were set, a small mountain of gifts emerged in the living room. Leonardo asked, “Granny Luisa, what kind of gifts did you bring?” Granny Luisa replied, “Wanna know? Let Nelly open them.” Leonardo said to Cornelia, “I can keep being your maid for free. Help you unwrap these.” Cornelia replied, “Sure” So they started unwrapping gifts. Briana pulled Tahlia into a guest room, hugged her tightly and said, “Natalia.” Tahlia said, “Briana, I have nothing to do with the Reese family anymore. My name is Tahlia now.” Briana asked, “Tahlia?” Tahlia nodded.
- Briana hugged Tahlia tightly, filled with remorse, “Tahlia, I’m sorry.” Tahlia asked, “Why are you apologizing to me?” Briana replied, “I only knew that you wanted to marry my brother, never really thought why you wanted to. You were my best friend, you suffered so much and endured so much humiliation by my side, and I was not only clueless, but also accused you of meddling in their marriage, blamed you for not respecting yourself” Tahlia replied, “It’s not your fault. I really didn’t respect myself back then. Not only did you guys hate me, I hated myself too, but I couldn’t change.” Tahlia’s tone was calm, but Briana still felt heartbroken, “But it will get better, we’re a family now. With my brother and Cornelia, we don’t need to be afraid of anything.” Tahlia said, “Briana.”
