Chapter 7

• In the upper rooms of the castle, Sara was trying on her wedding dress, together with Marie and Emma, who had become great friends.
• "Marie, may I know why you insulted Bruno?" asked Sara.
• Marie looking at her haughtily. "Simply because he deserved it."
• Emma anxious to know what happened said. "You insulted one of the warriors, and I missed it."
• Sara with a face of displeasure says. "Miss you should not say those words in front of the people of your clan, what are the people of the sister of the alpha of the pack going to say, for everyone's sake you should be more careful with your words and your actions."
• Marie in order not to contradict her sister-in-law, says biting her lip. "You are right, I will try to be more careful."
• Sara looks at Emma and says. "Evander couldn't take his eyes off of you, didn't you notice?".
• Emma nervously replies. "No Alana! I was so distracted with Nick that I didn't notice that man."
• Marie leaning out the window to look out at the green landscape of the fields says. "He's a very handsome man, who knows if he's your mate."
• Sara smiles as she learns of his fame. "Women fight to share his bed, he is a very desired warrior among them."
• Emma trusts her friends, they have always been there for them, somewhat nervously she says. "I am going to confess something to them, but they swear to me that this dies here and they are not going to tell anyone, Evander is my mate, I am going to look for a way to break that bond, I have heard among the maids that he is a womanizer and I will not be the one to fight with anyone over a man and less for the one who has where to choose."
• Marie guffaws with laughter, she can't believe the moon goddess put the big bad wolf in her path. "There Emma that is a sacred bond, that if you reject it the great moon may not put another wolf in your path, every woman must have a man by her side to protect her."
• Sara with an astonished face. "Evander is Alan's best friend and I can assure you he is a great man and can protect you to your brothers, think it through."
• Emma with an imposing look and confident voice replies. "I don't want to live enslaved to a man, I don't want to have anything to do with him, or anyone else, I know how to defend myself."
• Marie watching Ashley run towards the castle sighs as she thinks what did Nick do now. "Emma your sister is coming this way and she's not looking so good."
• Emma pulling me closer to the window she yells. "Ashley?"
• Ashley realizing Nick wasn't at the cabin, ran back out to the castle to inform her sister, in an agitated voice she yells. "Emma Nick is not coming to the cabin, I don't know where he is, our brother is going to drive us crazy."
• Emma: angered by her brother's antics replies. "Wait for me there, I'll be right down and I swear when I find him I'll rip his ears off."
• Marie lets out a laugh to say. "that brother of yours is a little devil, let's see what mischief he's gotten into this time, I'll go with you."
• Emma Looking at Sara she says. "I have to go to Nick before he gets into trouble."
• "Don't worry Emma, go easy, I'm sure he's playing around somewhere with some other kids" Sara says.
• After saying goodbye to Sara, they walked out of the room, down the spiral stone staircase to the main hall.
• They hurried across the courtyard to Ashley, who saw them and shouted. "I swear he killed him Emma."
• Emma grumbled in annoyance. "that one must be with the village kids at the market, some new traders arrived today."
• Ashley protested. "I knew it!"
• The three girls walked quickly towards the village where the traders were starting to set up their stalls, the ground was a bit wet from the rains and muddy.
• "Look where that tremendous one is!" says Emma as she watches her brother carefully approaching, along with two boys from the herd to one of the jewelry stalls, while the trader was distracted, the boys were tucking things in hiding them under their shirts.
• Suddenly the merchant looked up and saw what the children were doing, they ran away, but the merchant was faster than Nick and managed to catch him.
• Emma seeing her brother screaming and being shaken by that man, runs out followed by her sister and Marie, she stopped a few steps away from the man who had already spanked Nick a couple of times, out of breath from the race she says. "Please sir will you be so kind as to let go of my brother, I will pay you for whatever you have taken".
• The man had Nick by the throat. Is this scoundrel your brother?"
• "Yes sir, he is our brother and we are asking you to please release him." Ashley mutters coming to her sister's side.
• "I didn't do anything!" says Nick trying to get away from the man.
• "Nick shut up!" says Marie angry at the little boy.
• The man slapping the boy's face yelled. "What you didn't do anything, you were stealing from me, I saw you grabbing things from the table."
• At that moment the merchant's wife came out of a carriage, Emma rolled her eyes when she recognized Delia, she lived near her grandfather's house, during the time she lived there, she despised them for having the blood of the enemies of the southern lands, she always insulted and treated the boys badly, several times Emma defended her brothers and got into a fight with her.
• Delia, who put her hands to her head when she saw who it was, shouted furiously. "Damn stinking savages."
• Marie already knows the story, she snarled angrily. "Shut up!"
• Ashley with a pout replies. "We don't want trouble, we just want to work it out."
• Emma ignored that woman who had hurt them and their grandfather so much with her terrible comments, she continued to stare at the man holding her brother, "I understand your discomfort sir, that's why I repeat I will pay for what my brother has taken from you."
• Nick was crying and trying to free himself with slaps and kicks from the man who is mistreating him.
• The man giving him another slap shouted. "Stay still, you little thief!"
• Emma seeing him hit him became enraged. "I heard sir if you lay another hand on my brother again, I'm going to be the one to lay another hand on you."
• The man letting out a laugh. "Dare you slap me."
• Marie and Ashley shouted angrily. "Emma is capable of that and much more."
• Delia with her arms crossed stands in front of Emma. "Who do you think you are wild to talk to my man like that."
• Emma looking at her boldly. "I am a woman who is not afraid of you or anyone else," looking back at the man she growled. "I won't say it again let go of my brother."
• The man sneering at her shouts. "This southerner is a future delinquent, he must be given a lesson."
• Delia shouts with irony. "If we are going to punish him for being a thief from enemy lands."
• Nick with his seven years still doesn't understand why sometimes people insulted them that way, he could only shout. "I ain't no Southerner."
• Delia angrily yells at him. "Look you brat your blood is tainted by the filth of the enemies of the land of the South."
• Emma hearing what the woman shouted and seeing her brother cry, burst into a rage. "Now I'll knock your teeth out with my bare hands."
• Ashley angrily stepped in front of her. "Look you mangy bitch..." I don't finish the sentence when Delia throws herself on top of her and they fell in the mud, Emma gets in to separate them but Delia slaps her with her hand and knocks her down, they were beating each other up, I get up fast and scythe my back, there were the three of them fighting.
• Marie started to call for help, she screamed at the top of her lungs. "I am the sister of Alan Blacach the alpha of these lands, if you don't help me I will have you all thrown out of your lands."
• The people around them did not flinch, Marie had no choice but to throw herself to separate them, she received hair pulling, scratches and felt how the robust woman dragged her in the mud.
