Chapter 59
- The elders were almost done subjugating the beasts' intruders in the capital. The potion that Claudia made helped them a lot, although, the number of casualties was more than what they expected. Those who can heal others started to spread out to help. One person came to their mind when they found out a lot of survivors but were severely injured. Rupert Millavo. The only person that could treat all the injured at that moment, should be him. Aside from learning medicine, he was known for treating patients with a hundred percent chance of living. After he captured the main threat and the mastermind behind the beast's attack, Cisto went to the hospital to check on the doctor. He was expecting Rupert to be tending to the patient and couldn't believe it when he saw him fighting against an alpha.
- "Oh, this redhead was here all along then?" Cisto muttered when he recognized Rupert's opponent. They were battling in the air. The enemy had the upper hand. He initially wanted to stop the fight and lock the werelion, so they could focus on helping the survivors but there was something in Rupert's eyes that he couldn't set aside. It was grieved and anger. 'Why would he took all the trouble to fight against an enemy whose way beyond his league?' That question remained in the elder's head until he remembered something. 'Claudia... where's Claudia?' he looked around the building and found no trace of the lady. The two were still busy with their fight. He took the chance to sneaked inside. The broken glass on the window caught his attention and there he saw a fresh drop of blood. He bent down, proceeding with his investigation. The taste of blood was different, if he was right, it should be Claudia's blood. The blood of each clan differs in taste and smell. When he tasted the blood, he knew it was from a Lachouves. 'Did something happened to her?' He stood up and felt a faint hint of magic in the air. 'This... it's witch's magic. No, it's different.' Cisto was alarmed.
- "Ugh!" Rupert groaned. The alpha clawed him on the side. His flesh was ripped apart and some fell on the floor. "Bring back Claudia!" he yelled. His body glowed and in an instant the damages he took disappeared in thin air. His strength increased while he thought about the reality that Claudia would never return. "I won't forgive you!"
