Chapter 35
- The buzzing of people in the capital was endless. Merchants were making do of the remaining time before midnight to sell their goods. Shoppers were everywhere, visiting each store, purchasing what they needed, not minding the time. The steeds tied on the trees on the sideways were making sounds, unsettled by the loud commotions around. Wagon wheels hitting on the bumpy road was added in the not-so-pleasant harmony while the bugs and other insects composing their piece made the sounds more incomprehensible.
- “So many patients,” Claudia complained. Sitting on a comfortable seat in Rupert’s office with her legs crossed, her thighs were visible on both sides with the long skirt she wore, thanks to its three-feet-long slits. She plopped her left elbow on the table and lounged her cheek on her palm, playing a pen on her other hand, Claudia sighed. “I should have come with the lord earlier. Invading the Wyslien Kingdom seems more interesting than staying in this boring place,” she said. Her mouth opened for a yawn, she stretched her arms before wiping a tear on her eye. “I’m even yawning. Oh, come on.” She moved her foot in a circle, staring at her leather boots.
- “Madam, if you feel that bored then why not help us with the patients?” Marco proposed. Looking through the patient’s files in the drawer, he drifted his gaze to the lady for a while. “The doctor especially needs some assistance, lending him a hand won’t hurt,” he added.
