Chapter 46
- After a month of staying in Sebastian’s mansion, Latina felt more protected. Her wandering thoughts were easily settled by the man’s kind words, giving her no chance to worry about little things every single day thus she could sleep with ease at night, peacefully, as she knew she could trust him. She learned to do household chores and tasted a lot of nice foods and drinks. Sebastian would always give her what she needed under one condition; she had to stay inside and never go outside unless he said so. Latina submissively obliged. She doesn’t have anywhere else to go anyway.
- The relationship between the two grew stronger, deeper, and more passionate. As a lady, Latina would be lying if she would think Sebastian was not a good catch. The man almost had everything. His well-defined facial features and toned body can make the ladies swoon over him. Well, if he doesn’t scowl right on their faces, would be better. Having an enormous place for himself was extravagant, that was what Latina thought when she confirmed that Sebastian was living alone. Even those who were working for him weren’t allowed to stay. She assumed that she was special for having the opportunity to talk to him without the need of bowing her head and staying with him was one thing she loved the most.
- “You’re so beautiful,” Sebastian said while they were both sitting on the soft cushion in the living room, watching the fire burning the logs she stacked earlier in the fireplace. Latina smiled, appreciating the compliment. She snuggled closer to him which made the man smile. He wrapped his arm around her waist as she laid her head on his chest to sleep. How ironic it was when two cold-blooded demons rubbed their skins against each other to produce warmth and protect themselves from the extremely low temperature seeping through their bodies. Sebastian shook his head when he realized what he did to her. He was the one who altered her memories. The idea wouldn't be probably ironic for the lady who thought of herself as some ordinary mortal.
