• I walked the streets looking for a bar to drown my sorrows; maybe that way Kat's betrayal would hurt less. I wanted to erase her from my mind, forget what I felt. I entered the first bar I saw and went to the counter. I sat there and ordered a drink, downing it as soon as it was handed to me, so I ordered another one.
• "There are only two types of people who drink like that, those who have lost a family member or those whose hearts have been broken," a female voice told me.
• I looked up, and it was a girl tending the bar.
