Chapter 22

• The days passed peacefully at work. Matteo would look at me, but he wouldn't come near me, which was starting to bother me a little. We were adults and colleagues; a simple kiss couldn't harm the friendship we had already built. I saw him head to the kitchen area, and quickly followed him.
• "Are you always going to ignore me?" I asked him. Matteo looked at me and shrugged.
• "I thought you might feel uncomfortable after what happened," he said. I started laughing.
