• Back at Alpha Cade’s mansion, Cade was deeply frustrated. His pack had spent hours searching for Zyra, but there was no trace of her. The exhausted and disheartened looks on his pack members' faces mirrored his own feelings. Today was the last day they had to find Zyra, and as night drew nearer, his pack members' hunger became more evident.
• “We've run out of food and snacks, Alpha. What do we do now?” one of them asked, breaking the tense silence. Cade stared at him, feeling the weight of their collective frustration.
• “Are you seriously asking me this right now? I’m as confused as hell. I have no idea where that girl took her little legs to,” Cade replied, running his hand through his hair in frustration. His voice carried the weight of his desperation.
