Chapter 8 Human Experimentation
- Zachary closed his eyes, battling the murderous rage swelling inside him. Slowly, he calmed down. When he opened his eyes again, he said steadily, "Continue."
- One of the men in the room spoke up, "Based on the surgery, it seems that the tumor on Princess's liver developed within the last two years. I suspect someone has been using her as a test subject!"
- When that man spoke, his whole body shivered and his fists clenched tightly. The others in the room were no different, each simmering with barely controlled fury.
- This group was the personal physicians of the Holy Sovereign. Their families and friends were all under the protection and favor of Zachary. Now, hearing of the Holy Sovereign's daughter's suffering, their anger was as personal as it was professional. They wished nothing more than to tear the culprit to pieces.
- Zachary, who had just regained his composure, shut his eyes again after hearing these words.
- Human experimentation?! How dare they use my daughter as a lab rat!
- Zachary's voice quivered slightly as he inquired, "If we perform a liver transplant immediately, how much will this affect my daughter's future life?"
- The five people responded in unison without hesitation, "No effect!"
- A slow breath escaped Zachary.
- Finally, some good news. He thought as he nodded lightly.
- After that, he reopened his eyes to look at the five of them, and spoke earnestly, "Bring my daughter back to the Holy Sovereign's Palace and begin the liver-matching process at once. Take good care of her."
- When he finished his words, he gave a small, respectful bow. "I'm counting on you."
- The five were visibly shocked and quickly waved their hands, returning the bow. They declared with one voice, "We serve the Holy Sovereign! We are ready to die for the Holy Sovereign!"
- "Go," Zachary said, waving them off.
- "Yes, Sir."
- They sprang into action without saying another word. One of them began making calls while the others headed back to the consultation room to prepare for the transfer.
- Meanwhile, Zachary stood by the glass, looking at his sleeping daughter, Viviana. His jaw clenched as he turned and walked away.
- Next, he must find a matching liver for her within a week. But first, there was another matter to settle.
- Zachary spoke to the empty air, "Prepare the car! Let's see how those two beasts at the kindergarten are doing."
- A woman in a black suit appeared silently behind him. "Holy Sovereign, everything has already been arranged."
- The streets outside Eighth Kindergarten were eerily deserted as if the entire neighborhood had simply vanished.
- Zachary's cold eyes fixed ahead as he strode forward.
- The door to the principal's office had been kicked in long before. Inside, two middle-aged men were tied up, lying on the floor.
- Their mouths weren't bound, and the one who was the so-called richest man, despite his disheveled appearance, continued to curse. "That d*mn man! How dare he illegally detain me? Didn't you tell him who I am? I'm the richest man in Bilchester!"
- The principal looked depressed, his posture slumped and his mind racing with anxiety. He had already sent out a distress signal earlier, confident that the people backing him would quickly eliminate that mysterious young man.
- However, after the whole afternoon, instead of being rescued, they found themselves tied up. No matter how much they yelled for help, the entire school and the streets outside remained as silent as a ghost town without any sound or movement. It was as if the whole area had been evacuated.
- Who is this man we are dealing with?
- Seeing the principal's silence, the rich man glared at him with frustration. "If anything happens to me, the people backing me won't let you and your family go! You'd better pray that someone got your message!"
- Even as he spoke, his eyes darted nervously to the window.
- It was then that the sound of footsteps from the doorway made him jump. He whipped his head around, only to lock eyes with Zachary, whose gaze burned with a fiery red intensity.
- "You—you, untie me right now! Or I'll call the police and have you arrested!" The balding man barked, his tough words undermined by the fear quivering in his voice.
- Zachary's expression didn't change. He looked at the two men with a detached gaze. "Great. You're both here."
- After saying that, he stepped forward and grabbed the rich man by the throat. The principal, paralyzed by fear, sank to the floor.
- "You j*rk! Viviana is just a child, how could you do that to her?" Zachary's voice dripped with fury.
- He could still recall the scene when he found Viviana vividly. This man had chained his beloved daughter like an animal and had tried to whip her, trying to do something unspeakably vile.
- Smack!
- Zachary slammed the man to the ground with a forceful motion. Then, he picked up a trophy from the principal's desk and smashed it with brutal force on the man's groin.
- A scream of pure agony ripped through the room, the man's voice piercing the air.
- The pain was so overwhelming that his eyes rolled back and he lost consciousness.
- The principal, now trembling uncontrollably, started begging for his life with a loud voice, "I was wrong! Please, don't kill me! I was wrong!"
- Zachary threw the trophy aside, his gaze now fixed on the principal. "Tell me, how did you start this filthy operation? Who's behind all of this?"
- "I ... I don't know! I swear, I don't know! I—ah!"
- Crack!
- Before he could finish his words, Zachary's foot slammed down, breaking one of the man's legs with a sickening snap.
- "You're greedy, and that's a major crime. So, I broke your leg." Zachary's voice was icy and cruel, each word landing like a death sentence. "I'm not going to kill you just yet. Let the people behind you come to me."
- Upon saying that, Zachary walked out of the principal's office and ordered to the subordinates wait outside. "File a lawsuit with the local prosecutor's office. Report that Bilchester's richest man molested a child, and expose the child trafficking scandal at the kindergarten."
- "Yes, Holy Sovereign!"
- A storm was brewing in Bilchester, and Zachary knew that those pulling the strings wouldn't be able to sit still for much longer.
