Chapter 13 The Mastermind

Inside the tall building behind Zachary, Carolina was being led upstairs. As she climbed, she heard the powerful, resonant voices echoing from outside. The sound sent a shiver through her, and she turned to glance out the window. All she could see was a crowd of people and, in the distance, the backs of a few figures.
"What ... what is that?"
"Don't ask about things you shouldn't know," her guide replied curtly.
