Chapter 5 Blood Transfusion

  • Carolina's face turned pale as she took a step back. "How could this happen? I told her teacher..."
  • It became clear that Carolina had known about Viviana's tumor for some time.
  • She had been working long hours recently, trying to make ends meet, and couldn't care for Viviana herself. Upon hearing that the kindergarten offered full-day care, she requested it for Viviana.
  • But the teacher in charge of the service sneered at her. "Can you even afford full-day care when you can't buy proper clothes?"
  • Carolina's heart had filled with a mix of embarrassment, shame, and anger.
  • Still, she swallowed her pride for the sake of Viviana. She not only paid three months of fees in advance but also gifted the teacher a bottle of perfume, hoping they would treat her daughter well.
  • Yet in just a few short weeks, Viviana had become malnourished!
  • Carolina suspected that the teacher hadn't been feeding Viviana properly.
  • Biting her lip, Carolina's body trembled uncontrollably.
  • "What's wrong?" Zachary noticed her distress.
  • "It's all my fault. I'm the one who hurt Viviana."
  • "It's not your fault!" Zachary' voice thundered above her.
  • Carolina must have been blaming herself after hearing that Viviana was malnourished.
  • Zachary took her hand, squeezing it gently. "Don't worry. I'll handle everything. You stay here with our daughter." He stood up. "I'm going to make every single person who hurt Viviana pay!"
  • Zachary went to settle the hospital fees and watched as Viviana was wheeled into surgery. Then, he made a call.
  • "Holy Sovereign, is that you?" The person on the other end was both excited and terrified.
  • "Lock down Eighth Kindergarten immediately. No one is allowed to leave!"
  • "Anyone who disobeys dies!"
  • At the kindergarten, Zachary stormed toward the principal's office with a murderous aura.
  • The principal, a middle-aged man with a chubby face, appeared friendly enough, but surveillance footage had exposed his dark dealings. He had been selling out the kindergarten as a hub for human trafficking, striking deals with the powerful elite.
  • "Are you the principal?" Zachary asked coldly.
  • The principal was already aware that Zachary had barged into the office and knocked out one of his high-profile associates.
  • However, the principal felt secure, having tampered with the school's surveillance system. Even if parents came demanding answers, he had no fear.
  • Besides, the man who was attacked today was the wealthiest person in Bilchester. Zachary wouldn't stand a chance against him.
  • The principal arrogantly lifted his chin and gave a phony smile. "Young man, I know what you saw today must be hard to accept, but that person you attacked is Bilchester' richest man."
  • He pushed a coffee cup toward Zachary. "Now, tell me—how much do you want?"
  • Zachary picked up the cup, and the principal smiled smugly, convinced that Zachary was just another desperate man willing to overlook anything for the right price. In his mind, dignity and family meant nothing to people like Zachary as long as the payout was big enough.
  • Crash!
  • The coffee cup shattered against the principal's bloated face. Blood mixed with coffee as it trickled down his greasy cheeks.
  • The principal's mind went blank; for a moment, he couldn't process what had just happened.
  • "You want to die?" Zachary roared, grabbing the principal by the throat with one hand and lifting his hefty body off the ground. "You think you can bribe your way out of hurting my daughter?"
  • "Let me go! Do you even know who I am? I've got the city's most powerful figures backing me—you lay a hand on me, and you're as good as dead!" The principal gasped for air, his face turning beet red as he struggled.
  • "I don't care who you are. If anything happens to my daughter, I'll make sure you and everyone behind you are buried alongside her!" Zachary spat out, then tossed the principal onto his desk with such force that the entire desk splintered to pieces.
  • "You… you'll regret this! I'll kill you one day!" the principal wheezed, blood dripping from his mouth, but still shouting threats.
  • "Good! Go ahead and call in your so-called backers. I'll deal with them all!"
  • Zachary knew that unless he cut off the people supporting the principal, similar incidents could happen again. And more importantly, those people might retaliate. He couldn't allow Viviana and Carolina to face that kind of danger.
  • "Holy Sovereign! The Princess urgently needs a blood transfusion. She has the same rare blood type as you!" Zachary' subordinate came rushing in with the news.
  • Viviana shared the same blood type as Zachary!
  • Oh, no!
