Chapter 23 Brandon's Declaration

  • I halt from a run, resting my hands on my knees to catch my breath. Who would have thought that a few days of no exercise would mean a tiring run? Or is it perhaps me restraining myself from running faster - the real speed I have that made me feel tired? I reached for my towel on my neck to wipe the sweats on my forehead and cheeks.
  • I try not to stare back at anyone who's looking at me as I stand where I am right now, in a big running track/park on the neutral ground of Moon Stone Pack. I know they mean no harm, and it's just in werewolf nature to familiarize someone's scent and appearance of a wolf they've just seen for the first time.
  • I walk towards the bench where I left my bottled water to take a rest. Within where I am sitting, I see my rusty brown orange truck attached to my enchanted trailer across the street where a lot of other vehicles are parked. I've spent the last few days familiarizing myself with the Dark Moon territory - looking for shops, restaurants or offices that are looking for part timers.
