Chapter 20 Running Away

• I sprinted seeing the surroundings in the forest in a blurry state. I feel my heart throb from the mixed emotions I am bearing from what happened earlier. Brandon's pained, angry, sad and confused face appeared in my head - feeling confused myself. What's his deal? And how is this happening? How is it possible for the mate bond to not completely break after I accept the rejection?
• I wiped another tear that fell from eye feeling hurt and empty at the same time
• I climbed through my bedroom window after I crossed the rather empty and quiet block of the pack residences. The thud sound from me landing on the floor is the only noise that's heard from our house. It's empty. My parents aren't here. I stand up and look through the window to check again - leaning forward with my desk sitting by the window. Looks like they are not alerting the pack about the escapee. I squint my eyes and see that there are 3 warriors walking by the end of the block.
