• “What the hell did you do to my sister, you bastard!” Chris bellowed in Mason’s face, holding him by the collar.
• Mason didn’t bother to fight back or protect himself. His body remained limp the more Chris shook him. They had converged at Lisa’s place with Amber after Chris reached out to her to ask if she had heard from Lisa.
• Amber returned to the living room throwing Mason a distasteful glare. “None of our other friends have heard from her. Do you care to explain what happened between you two?” She didn’t bother to hide her hate for him.
