Chapter 30 The Mating Season

• “How is it?” I ask and gauge Logan and Harlan’s reactions.
• The three of us are seated at my regular booth in the Martha’s Bakery and Diner, a local Vermont hotspot serving up the best grilled cheese sandwich, cupcakes, and milkshakes. Everything on their menu is pretty much bomb. Juju, Lexy, and I used to come here all the time after school, sharing milkshakes and playing old 70s music on the jukebox.
