• My body freezes instantly. I can see Carter's rage simmering like a storm about to unleash its fury. The air in the dimly lit room crackles with tension as Doctor Rav hands him the syringe. My eyes are glued to the needle and I feel a pit in my stomach. I try to squirm, my fists are clenched, my heart is pounding – and my mind races hard, thinking of a way out.
