Chapter 3 The Play Begins
- "Hello, Boss. Miss Joanna has returned to her house," reported a man in a black Avanza who was following Harry's car.
- "Who is she with?"
- There was a cold voice from the person called the boss.
- "The man who hit her, boss, there was a little girl too."
- "Okay, just keep an eye on her and investigate who the man who hit her is."
- "Yes Boss!"
- After the telephone connection was disconnected, Ardi smiled coldly.
- "Anna, I won't let you go, darling," he said psychopathically, "you were mine from the start."
- ****
- "Is this your home, Anna?" Amelia asked when Harry's car arrived at Anna's house.
- The woman suddenly smiled. "No, dear. This is my parents' house."
- "Anna, promise me to go to my house tomorrow?" said the little girl while sticking out her little finger.
- "Okay, but I have to go to the hospital first to see grandma," answered Anna, linking her little finger to Amel's tiny finger.
- "Okay, good night beautiful Joanna."
- Amelia then embraced Anna.
- "Good night darling, sweet Amelia, cute and smart," said Anna while kissing Amelia's cheek excitedly.
- Harry noticed Anna's closeness to his daughter. He was still surprised by the both of them, who had just met each other but seemed very close. In fact, their closeness looks sincere and natural, different from Elsa - the woman who is currently close to Harry.
- "Don't forget, tomorrow we have to see grandma." Anna reminded Harry, bringing the man out of his thoughts.
- "Okay, what time will I pick you up tomorrow?"
- "No need to pick me up, I'll bring my own car, we'll just make an appointment at the hospital at ten in the morning."
- "Oh, why are you walking alone? You guys are dating; if you're dating, you have to go together, you have to be together," interrupted Amel.
- "Then what, Mel?"
- "Yes, you have to be with Dad. Later, Dad will pick up you and open the door for you." Amel said.
- "Then, don't forget that when you're in front of grandma, you has to hold Dad's hand," added the child again.
- "Do you think we really need to be held together, Mel?"
- "Yes, yes, Anna, otherwise grandma won't believe that you both are dating," replied Amelia.
- Anna immediately pinched Amel's cheek. "Is that so, Mel? Well, I'll just do what my cute friend says."
- "You've never been in a relationship, have you?" Amelia asked innocently, which made Anna smile awkwardly and shake her head.
- "Never have I either," said the child, then looked at Harry suddenly, "Okay, okay, later Dad will teach you about dating, okay?"
- "Ufz…." Anna covered her mouth.
- She couldn't help but laugh. Likewise, Harry he laughed at his daughter's innocent behavior.
- "Okay, it's late, you should sleep soon." Harry reminded his daughter.
- "Yes, Dad."
- "By the way Anna. This is your medicine. The doctor said, if you still feel dizzy, you have to finish the medicine."
- "Thank you sir."
- "Why sir, Anna?" interrupted the little girl again.
- "Oh, I'm wrong again, aren't you, Mel?"
- "Harry, 'thank you, Harry' is like that."
- "Amel!" Harry snapped in annoyance, which made the little girl immediately fall silent and look down sadly.
- Without realizing it, Anna glanced at Harry while shaking her head - she couldn't bear her cute friend.
- So, Anna decided to follow Amelia's advice, "Okay, thank you, Harry."
- Anna also smiled.
- "Amel, don't be sad, honey. Tomorrow, from the hospital, I will go to your house. Let's play together, okay?" Anna persuaded.
- Amelia slowly raised her face again, "Promise me, Anna?"
- "Promise, but you smile first, please."
- The sweet girl smiled.
- "Well, that's it, that's just Anna's friend. When you come home, you will immediately go to sleep, okay?"
- "Yes Anna," said Amel obediently.
- "Okay, bye Amel, see you tomorrow."
- "Bye, Anna,love you."
- "Love you too."
- Anna smiled, remembering all the cute behavior of the little girl.
- She immediately entered her house and headed to her room.
- After sitting on the edge of the bed, she immediately took out her cell phone and called her mother.
- "Hello, Mom. I didn't go to the hospital to visit my grandmother tonight. My head is still dizzy. The doctor said need to have to rest first."
- "Well that's that then. You just rest," said the mother, "but are you really okay, An?"
- "It's okay Mom, just dizzy. I'm at home now, how is Grandma's condition, Mom?"
- "The critical period has passed, but he still doesn't realize it."
- "Okay, I'll be there tomorrow."
- Both calls were disconnected.
- Anna decided to take a shower and change clothes immediately. She took the medicine Harry had given her and drank it - preparing herself for the long day ahead.
- Early in the morning, Harry had picked her up as promised.
- The both of them went to the hospital where Anna's grandmother was being treated.
- "How is Amel?" asked Anna to open the conversation.
- "Already at school, she said earlier that you don't forget to come."
- "I haven't forgotten," answered Anna with a smile.
- "There was another message from Amel that made me laugh."
- "What message?"
- "She was told to teach you about dating," Harry shook his head, holding back a smile, "whatever, you might be smarter than me."
- "You know, how do you know I'm good at dating?"
- "Is it true that you have never dated?" Harry asked back.
- "Right, so what?"
- "I'm not sure, okay? If you're beautiful and you're not a teenager anymore, how come there aren't any boys queuing up?"
- "There are a lot of boys queuing but if I don't want to, what do they do?"
- "Wow, could it be that you ..."
- "What? Do you want to say I'm a lesbian or a gay person?" Anna said sharply, "I'm still normal, okay? Indeed, I used to like guys when I was in my teens. But, he hurt me. Well, I'm not interested anymore."
