Chapter 1 Running Away From Home

• A car was driving at low speed; a handsome man was sitting behind the wheel, and beside him, an 8-year-old little girl was engrossed in her device. Suddenly …
• Argh!!
• A woman screamed as she fell, and the car stopped suddenly.
• "What's wrong, Dad?" Amelia asked in surprise.
• "It looks like Daddy hit someone," Harry answered a little nervously.
• The two of them rushed out, and sure enough, a girl was lying right in front of Harry's car.
• "Oh, Lord!" Amelia let out a muffled scream while covering her mouth. "Dad, is she dead?" Amelia asked innocently.
• Harry checked the unconscious girl; he placed his finger on the girl's nose, and she breathed a sigh of relief. "He just fainted."
• "Then what, Dad?"
• "We'll take her to the hospital."
• The two of them took the girl to the hospital, where the doctor did an examination. Harry and his daughter waited anxiously.
• Meanwhile, Anna had woken up from her fainting spell; she mumbled softly when she realized that she had woken up to be greeted by a typical hospital room and a strong antiseptic smell.
• "Hospital?"
• Instantly, Anna remembered what had happened to her.
• The grandmother was worried because Anna hadn't brought her boyfriend home. So, the woman tried to match Anna with a man Anna didn't know.
• Indeed, the man is okay physically and in wealth. But Anna was filled with the man's gaze that seemed to want to crush her!
• Therefore, Anna decided to run away immediately. Unfortunately, she saw a very dazzling light heading towards her. Then, not long after, darkness hit her.
• Suddenly, the door to the room opened, and not long after, a man who Anna was sure was a doctor came in accompanied by two women in nurse uniforms.
• "Good evening, Miss Joanna."
• Anna looked at the doctor in a daze before finally saying, "Evening, doc. What happened to me?"
• "You were unconscious after you fell when you were hit by the car," he explained, "so we will carry out another examination."
• "Okay, Doc."
• Immediately afterward, the doctor and medical team carried out a detailed examination for 35 minutes.
• Anna was relieved when the doctor said there were no serious injuries. However, an MRI will still be carried out to ensure there are no internal injuries, especially on Anna's head.
• "Doc, who brought me here?" Anna asked when she saw the doctor preparing to leave the room. She remembered that it was impossible to get to the hospital alone after being hit.
• "Oh yes, they are at the front," answered the doctor, "in a moment, they will come in."
• Anna nodded.
• Unfortunately, she felt her head a little dizzy. So, Anna tried to close her eyes and didn't realize a man had come in with a cute little girl.
• "Good evening Miss. How are you doing now?"
• The baritone voice that was heard made Anna immediately open her eyes.
• She stared at the two people standing in front of her in a daze.
• "I... um... my head is still dizzy," answered Anna finally.
• The man seemed to nod. "Get some rest. The doctor said there were no serious injuries, you were just in shock."
• He then handed Anna drinking water, so she immediately drank it. What a coincidence, Anna felt her throat dry.
• "Pretty sister, what's your name?" asked the petite girl beside the man approaching Anna, "I'm Amelia. This is my Dad, his name is Harry."
• Anna suddenly looked at Amelia, who smiled at her. Without realizing it, she smiled back at the little girl.
• "Joanna, just call me Anna," said Anna, who was greeted by a nod from the child.
• However, Amelia suddenly hit herself on the forehead before handing over Anna's bag. "I almost forgot! Anna, these are your things."
• Anna held back a laugh. "Thank you, dear." She said before Anna's gaze moved back to Harry.
• "Sorry, were you guys the ones who brought me here?" She asked.
• Harry, who had been silent until now, immediately nodded. "That's right, you were lying unconscious in front of my car. So, I immediately brought you here."
• "That means you were the one who hit me."
• "It wasn't on purpose because you suddenly passed while running," said the man, "fortunately, my car was slow, so nothing serious happened."
• Anna smiled awkwardly–feeling bad.
• With him escaping last night, how many people have been troubled?
• Of course, her family is now also panicking because they haven't found her, even though Anna is known as a brave girl. However, Anna suddenly got goosebumps when she remembered her grandmother.
• If she went back now, that woman would still force her to get married, right?
• Not to mention, the man she was betrothed to might feel annoyed and want to get back at her.
• "Miss Anna, are you okay?" Harry asked, bringing Anna out of her reverie.
• The woman immediately saw Harry and Amelia. Somehow, a crazy idea emerged!
• "Oh, my head is so heavy. You have to take responsibility for hitting me," said Anna seriously.
• The man's eyebrows seemed to rise one way before Harry finally replied, "Don't worry. I will be responsible for paying all your medical expenses.In fact, I will ask the doctor to carry out further examinations."
• Anna immediately shook her head when she heard the type of accountability that Harry meant.
• "No need. I don't need the medical expenses."
• "Then, what responsibility do you mean?" Harry asked, looking confused.
• Anna took a slow breath – mentally preparing herself – then looked at Harry. "Marry me," she said firmly.
