Chapter 6 Please, Mr Bennett
- His words were sharp and uncompromising.
- One sentence drew everyone's attention.
- Leah's breathing quickened.
- Isaac snorted coldly. "Young man, where did you come from? Do you have no upbringing?"
- As he spoke, he laid Matthew flat. "You came to deceive the Kings? Didn't expect to encounter someone like me, who sees through it all, did you?
- "Using violence to treat illness? When you came up with this pathetic trick, did you ever bother to study a few legitimate medical texts? Is that even a legitimate method?
- "You're useless!"
- Isaac's contempt for Ethan had reached its peak.
- However, as soon as he uttered those words, unnoticed by anyone, the eyes of Matthew, still somewhat dull on the hospital bed, suddenly twitched fiercely.
- Meanwhile, Leah had already gathered a group around Ethan.
- "If Dr. Lowe hadn't intervened just in time to save my father, you would have been responsible for his death. I won't forgive you for this," Leah declared firmly.
- Ethan furrowed his brow. "Miss King, although I need your help for the sake of my seniors, please don't go too far.
- "I was genuinely trying to save your father. I explained the reasoning earlier."
- Ethan fell silent. Are we destined to clash?
- Penny narrowed her eyes, feeling a strange sensation at the moment.
- Leah's eyes narrowed with intense hostility.
- "You're full of lies. I'll never believe a single word you say again. Guards!"
- The Kings' servants rushed into the room, ready to confront Ethan. Claudia even ordered them to take him down.
- "Wait!"
- Suddenly, Matthew shouted, startling everyone. They turned quickly to see Matthew struggling to sit up.
- His gaze fixed fiercely on Ethan.
- "Everyone, get out. He stays."
- "What?"
- Everyone was taken aback.
- "Dad, he's a dangerous person. Are you confused?" Leah grew anxious.
- "I told you to leave, can't you hear me? I'm still alive!" Matthew shouted angrily.
- Then, he suddenly started coughing up blood, shocking his family.
- Seeing this, Penny quickly grabbed Leah and Claudia.
- "Let's get out of here."
- If they didn't leave soon, the stress might just kill him.
- Leah was worried. "Dad, we can go outside, but Dr. Lowe and Mr. Ferguson should stay here to look after you. Please, I'm begging you!"
- She felt more at ease with a doctor around.
- Matthew's heart softened, nodding in agreement.
- With that settled, Leah led the others out.
- As she passed by Ethan, she squeezed a threat through her teeth.
- "You b*stard, if you dare harm my dad, I'll take you down with me even if it costs my life!"
- Upon hearing this, Ethan could only smile bitterly.
- Heavens, am I already seen this way by Leah?
- If what his master said was true, he had to have sex with the person with pure form and reach extreme pleasure under voluntary cooperation to cure his Nine Suns Poison.
- Now, who could teach me how to make her reach extreme pleasure?
- D*mn it!
- Ethan suddenly felt like cursing out loud. Why am I so unlucky?
- Bang!
- The door slammed shut, leaving Ethan, George, and Isaac alone.
- No one knew what Matthew was up to.
- "Young man, what's your name and date of birth?" Matthew suddenly asked with a smile, just when Ethan was feeling utterly frustrated.
- "Hmm?" Ethan instinctively responded.
- "Ethan Bennett. Born January 1st, 1997, at exactly 01:01:01."
- George and Isaac's faces twitched.
- Could the birth time be any more precise?
- "January 1st, 1997, 01:01:01."
- Matthew was overjoyed. "Exactly as predicted!"
- Back then, a sage had told him that on his deathbed, a formidable figure with bold methods would save his life.
- If he could keep this person around, not only could the Kings survive the calamities of that year, but they could also prosper greatly!
- "Ethan, thank you so much for saving me!" Matthew was deeply grateful.
- However, Isaac and George were not pleased.
- George asked, "Wait, Matthew, what exactly do you mean?
- "Your life was saved by Dr. Lowe's relentless efforts. That young lad just now was the one who attacked you. Don't confuse the situation!"
- George was visibly displeased, and Dr. Lowe regarded him with cold eyes, clearly angered.
- "Well, you both have certainly worked hard, and I appreciate your efforts. But the one who truly saved me is Ethan," Matthew insisted.
- "I know my own body very well. At the critical moment, it felt like I couldn't catch my breath, as if burdened by many constraints. It was only when these were forcefully broken that I came back to life."
- "You've lost your mind, Matthew!" Isaac scoffed. "He's just a good-for-nothing. He knows nothing! Only I can ensure your health!
- "My Nine Divine Needles is unmatched!"
- Before Matthew could say more, his eyes suddenly widened. "Pfft!"
- He spat out another mouthful of blood and collapsed stiffly to the ground.
- Isaac and George were terrified and hurried forward.
- George, hearing the loud noise from the equipment, quickly asked, "What's happening? How did this happen?"
- Isaac's face turned pale. "This isn't right, what's going on? It shouldn't be like this!"
- "This is a consequence. I told you, you weren't supposed to change the revival position yet, but you just had to go and change his position," Ethan said casually.
- "Nonsense!" Isaac refused to believe it.
- "Nonsense?" Ethan sneered coldly. "Without effective treatment soon, he'll start convulsing and bleeding from every orifice!"
- "How soon is 'soon'?" George asked instinctively.
- Ethan looked up at the time.
- "Three!
- "Two!
- "One!"
- Splurt!
- As soon as Ethan finished counting, Matthew sprayed blood and began convulsing wildly, blood flowing from all seven orifices.
- Isaac and George looked at Ethan in shock.
- Is he really that amazing?
- "Why are you looking at me? Aren't you a genius doctor? Didn't you promise to keep him healthy? Aren't you invincible?"
- Ethan looked at them and said, "Why don't you treat him?"
- Isaac was on the verge of tears. How could he treat him? He was already near death, and he had already used his most powerful Nine Divine Needles.
- Besides, if they still didn't realise that Ethan had real skills, they must be brainless. Everything he said matched the symptoms.
- Revival position!
- Yeah, that kid's revival position!
- Isaac suddenly recalled Ethan's words and quickly mimicked the posture Ethan had demonstrated earlier.
- "You catch on fast, but resting in a revival position won't help him now."
- Ethan smirked slightly. "Just a heads-up, if he doesn't get proper treatment soon, in twenty seconds, all his organs will fail."
- Upon hearing that, Isaac was thrown into a panic. If all the organs failed, even the most skilled doctor would struggle to save him.
- "Dr. Lowe ... " George was in a hurry, realising they were now responsible for possibly causing someone's death.
- Isaac glanced at George. He and Matthew were classmates. If the worst happened, and he had to inform the Kings, his reputation would be ruined.
- Isaac finally yielded. He hurriedly said to Ethan, "Kid, no, sir, please do something now. Time's running out."
- But Ethan remained still, arms crossed.
- "Mr. Bennett, please save him," George said, sweating as he checked his watch.
- But Ethan remained unmoved.
- Isaac, feeling responsible as the main culprit, saw time slipping away and made a firm decision.
- Snap!
- He bowed deeply. "Mr. Bennett, I apologise for my earlier brashness. Please, I'm asking you to save him."
- Ethan gave him a calm look, then took the silver needle from his hand. "Will you refrain from interfering and promise to control yourself in the future?"
- Isaac's face turned red. At over sixty years old, being scolded by a twenty-something guy.
- "Yes, I will!"
- Ethan coldly snorted, his eyes sharp and intense.
- Swish swish swish!
- Nine silver needles fell, and all the humiliation Isaac had felt melted away. His expression shifted from shock to awe.
- Thud!
- Isaac collapsed directly.
- "Nine, Nine ... "
- Bang bang bang! Just then, an urgent knocking came from outside.
- "Dr. Lowe, what's going on?"
