Chapter 22 Something Fishy

• Their scrutinized gaze trained on Zayla, drilling into her as if they were all vultures waiting for their prey to die. Each glance threatened to tear her fragile resolve apart.
• Kai's eyes blazed with fury, bloodshot and wild, his face twisted in a grotesque mask of anger as he unleashed his rage. "You wretched woman, you bring nothing but misery and ruin to our family! You were a mistake that never should've been born. I should have let Dad dispose of you at birth! Zayla, you have stripped everything from me!"
