Chapter 12 – Zara's Pov

• As they say, everyone has their breaking point. My heart, once filled with love for Lucas, had been extinguished by his cruel words and actions, leaving nothing but ashes scattered in the wind.
• Lucas stood in front of me, his face flushed from my slap. His eyes held surprise, regret, and perhaps a glimmer of realization. But it was too late. His apologies meant nothing to me anymore.
• “You should have thought about all this before,” I whispered, my voice trembling with anger and sadness. “You had the chance to be a father, to be a loving partner. But you chose to destroy everything we had. And now, I won't let you hurt our son any longer.”
