- “Bye,” I murmured into the phone, ending my call with Marco. We had talked, but I hadn’t told him about Cyrus. I couldn’t bring myself to do it.
- Today should have been a happy day, but it was anything but. I felt a hollow ache inside, knowing I’d lost Stephanie’s trust and fearing I might lose Marco too, all because of one person. One stupid person.
