Chapter 10 Selena
- I slowly opened my eyes to find my entire family staring back at me with concern etched on their faces. What the hell just happened?
- "What happened?" I asked, pushing myself up from the couch.
- "You fainted," Mom replied, her voice tinged with worry.
- "Oh... I had a dream that Mom was pregnant again," I explained, glancing around at my brothers.
- "That... isn't a dream," Reggie interjected, his words causing my eyes to nearly bulge out of their sockets.
- "Wait, what?!" I exclaimed, turning to Mom for confirmation.
- "We're as shocked as you are. Just look at Anya," Blue chimed in, drawing my attention to our youngest sister, who looked both pale and shell-shocked.
- "What? Mom... aren't you, like, too old for that?" I blurted out, unable to hide my disbelief.
- Mom rolled her eyes. "I'm 42," she stated matter-of-factly, but I still couldn't wrap my head around it.
- "Isn't that a bit... risky?" I pressed, my mind still reeling from the news.
- "It's not uncommon for women my age to have children," Mom replied, her tone firm. "And besides, your father and I have been talking about this for a while now. We're both healthy, and we're excited about the prospect of expanding our family."
- I nodded slowly, trying to wrap my head around the idea. The thought of having a new sibling was both exhilarating and terrifying all at once.
- "So... what now?" I asked, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me.
- "Now, we celebrate," Dad chimed in, a wide grin spreading across his face. "We're going to have a baby, and that's something to be happy about."
- "I will stop giving birth at 30," I declared to Mom, who just shrugged in response. My gaze then shifted to Dad, who seemed genuinely happy about the news.
- Wow, he's going to be a dad again... that's wonderful.
- "Congratulations, Dad," I said, unable to resist mocking him a bit.
- "Well, thank you," he replied with a chuckle.
- "I think the child is going to be a boy," Blue chimed in confidently.
- "In your dreams, it's going to be a girl," I countered, equally confident in my prediction.
- "The boys will win this time," Grey added.
- "That's what you said last time, and it turned out to be Anya, so..." I pointed out.
- "Let's make a bet," Blue suggested.
- "$10,000," Grey proposed.
- "How am I supposed to get that money if I lose?" I protested.
- "You're so confident that you're going to lose?" Blue teased.
- "No, no, it's just... in case something happens," I quickly amended.
- "All you have to do is ask Dad for the money. You know he won't say no to you," Blue reasoned.
- "Are you guys seriously discussing this in front of me and your father?" Mom interrupted.
- "And I'm not going to give you that money," Dad chimed in, with a twinkle in his eye.
- "Let's see about that," I murmured, smirking.
- "Deal," Blue said, shaking my hand firmly.
- Everyone else seemed fine with the news, except for Anya, who looked absolutely terrified. When Mom was pregnant with her, I was excited, especially when I found out she was going to be a girl.
- I heard a knock on my door, prompting me to call out, "Come in." Mom entered, her smile lighting up the room as she made her way over to my bed. I sat up eagerly, returning her smile.
- "So tell me..." she began, her eyes sparkling mischievously.
- "Tell you what?" I replied, my curiosity piqued. Mom gazed at me for a moment before rolling her eyes playfully.
- "Before you came in, I saw Cyrus dropping you off," she revealed, a knowing smile spreading across her face, causing my eyes to widen and a giggle to escape my lips.
- "Where's your car?" she inquired, raising an eyebrow.
- "Well... technically... I had to pretend that my car was having issues so Cyrus could give me a ride home," I confessed, earning a gasp of surprise from Mom.
- "That's so naughty of you," she teased, her tone filled with mock disapproval.
- "Well, it paid off," I replied with a grin, making her look at me quizzically.
- "How so?" she asked, leaning in closer.
- "We made out in the car," I whispered conspiratorially.
- "OMG," she gasped, her eyes widening in shock.
- "Yeah, it was intense, but I liked it," I confessed with a sheepish smile.
- Mom's eyes widened in surprise, her brows furrowing slightly as she tried to comprehend my words.
- "You're not joking, right?" she asked, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.
- I shook my head, my expression serious as I met her gaze.
- "No, Mom, I swear," I assured her, my tone earnest. "It's the truth."
- A small gasp escaped her lips, her hand instinctively flying to cover her mouth in astonishment.
- "Wow," she murmured, her eyes searching mine for any hint of deception. "That's actually surprising."
- I couldn't help but grin at her reaction, feeling a sense of pride at finally sharing this news with her.
- "Yeah," I replied, my smile widening. "It's pretty wild, huh?"
- Mom nodded slowly, still processing the revelation.
- "It definitely is," she agreed, a flicker of amusement dancing in her eyes. "But I'm happy for you."
- I returned her smile, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders at her acceptance.
- "Thanks, Mom," I said, my voice filled with gratitude.
- "I'm glad you think so."
- After a moment of comforting silence, Mom gently pulled back, her eyes full of tenderness as she brushed a stray hair from my face.
- "Now, just remember to take things at your own pace," she said, her voice gentle but firm. "Don't feel pressured to rush into anything you're not ready for."
- I nodded, grateful for her words of wisdom.
- "I will, Mom," I promised, feeling a sense of relief wash over me at her reassurance.
- With a final squeeze of my hand, Mom rose from the bed, a smile still lingering on her lips.
- "My mouth is sealed," she said with a smile before turning to walk out of the room.
- "Thank you, mom You're the best," I replied gratefully as she left. I couldn't help but feel incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful relationship with my mother.
- She was always there for me, no matter what, and I cherished her more than anything in this world.
- As I lay in bed, holding my pillows close to my chest, memories of Cyrus flooded my mind once again. The way he had touched me still sent shivers down my spine - possessive and intense and so damn sexy all at once. My thoughts drifted back to his hands on my body, trailing over every inch of skin with an expert touch that made me crave him even more fiercely than before.
- And the kiss...oh god, the kiss was incredible - easily the best one I'd ever had in my life. It left me breathless and wanting more.
- I smiled as I thought about all the possibilities that laid ahead of us. Despite the uncertainty of what would happen between Cyrus and me, I knew that our attraction was undeniable and there was something special between us.
- As I closed my eyes, the image of his handsome face flashed in my mind once again. The way he looked at me with those piercing green eyes made my heart skip a beat every time. And when he touched me...my body felt alive in ways it never had before. Without even realizing it, my hand drifted down to touch myself as I remembered how Cyrus had made me feel earlier.
- The pleasure was intense, overwhelming, but somehow never enough to satisfy me completely. It only left me wanting more...more of him, more of his touch, more of everything that he had to offer. As I lay there lost in thought and desire, I couldn't help but wonder what our future held - not just for tonight or tomorrow but for weeks and months and maybe even years.
- Would Cyrus come back to me? Or was our time together just a one-time thing, something that we both knew could never happen again? As much as I wanted him - his touch, his kiss, his passion - I also knew that he wasn't mine to keep. And I wanted him to be mine.
- I slept off, my thoughts consumed by him, replaying our moments together in my mind like a movie. The next time I stirred, it was morning, sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow across my room.
- With a rush of excitement, I sprang out of bed, eager to start the day. Today was another opportunity to see Cyrus, and I couldn't wait. I quickly got ready, a smile permanently etched on my face as I imagined our encounter.
- Bounding down the stairs, I practically skipped outside, anticipation bubbling inside me. But as I reached the driveway, my heart sank. My car wasn't there. Disappointment flooded through me momentarily, but then determination set in. I wasn't going to let this setback ruin my day.
- With a resolve, I turned back and headed upstairs to where my dad kept the spare keys. He had already left for work, so I knew he wouldn't mind me borrowing his car.
- Locating the keys, I made my way back to the garage. As I started the car, a surge of excitement pulsed through me. Today was going to be a good day.
- Driving to school, my mind was filled with thoughts of Cyrus. I couldn't wait to see him, to be near him again. Pulling into the parking lot, I scanned the area, hoping to catch a glimpse of him.
- My first class passed in a blur, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of Cyrus. As I made my way to my next class, I kept my eyes peeled, searching for him in the crowded hallways.
- And then, there he was. Standing alone, a smile lighting up his face. My heart skipped a beat as I approached him, my smile widening with every step.
- But then I saw her. A girl, approaching Cyrus with a smile of her own. My steps faltered as I watched them interact, my stomach twisting with unease.
- Should I approach them? Should I wait? I hesitated, unsure of what to do. But before I could make a decision, I saw it. The girl leaned in and kissed him.
- Who the fuck is she??
- As I stood there, frozen in shock and disbelief, watching them locked in an intimate embrace, my heart sank. The sight of him kissing her back felt like a dagger through my chest, shattering any semblance of trust or security I once held.
- When his eyes finally met mine, there was no flicker of recognition or remorse, only a cold indifference that cut me to the core. It was as though I was invisible, my presence inconsequential in the face of their shared moment.
- Unable to bear the pain any longer, I turned away, feeling the weight of betrayal heavy upon my shoulders.
- TBC.
